Keep Getting Spider Mites Indoors...?

  1. I don't know how it's happening, but I keep getting spider mites indoors in my seed starting chamber. I don't need to post a picture, because I've already 100% identified the infestation.

Should I just treat with insecticidal soap as needed? This is the second infestation this year.. Last one killed about 30 dollars worth of my seedlings for my vegetable garden, because I caught it late.

Indoors I have a variety of plants, as well. I have False Aralia, African Violet, Bird's Nest Palms, Dracaena, and a large variety of herbs. I can't afford for these infestations to keep happening, because each time it takes about a half a bottle of insecticidal soap for treatment; I treat all plants in case of infestation.

I've narrowed the causes down, too.

    - Sitting my indoor plants outside for short periods of time so they can get a little sun/rain.
    - Bringing in new plants from, say, Lowe's.
    - Cats use the room with my seedling chamber as an entrance to the house.

Should I just discontinue all of the above practices? I am tired of these damn things. I just want them gone, because they aim to kill all that I hold dear in my garden... Mind you, I caught the infestation literally within a day or two of it happening, but last time I wasn't so lucky...

TLDR; Spider Mite recurring infestations are stressing me out.

Picture related. One of my indoor plants that keeps getting infested. Variety is Alpine Strawberry; Alexandria strain.
