Shopping is done!!! Got C99, Grapefriut, and Haze Mist(one of my all time favorites) on the menu this year. The plot is the same as the past 3 years. 3x3x3 holes. I should have amended the holes earlier but I had a lot of drama to deal with, so I will do it next week. Growing in 5 gal smart pots, then i will transfer them into the holes around mid summer when it gets really hot and dry here. i'm using my own special mix .5 parts - hydroton 1 part - perlite 2 parts - worm castings 5 parts - cocopeat table spoon - biological stuff (trichs) couple handfulls - dolomite lime couple handfulls - bonemeal couple handfulls - bloodmeal With this mix I got almost 2 pounds per plant off of California Orange Bud. No extra feeding, and I only watered them a few times in the heat of the summer. For me that is good! I used straight up primo potting soil the first year and was lucky to get a pound off 4 plants.
Grapefruit is from Female seeds. a c99 x unknown sativa cross C99 is a hand me down, but i thik they originally came from bog. it's a fucking wonderful smoke, but kind of a picky plant. Haze mist is from Advanced seeds. I have never grown their gear but I have always loved Haze mist crosses. Worse case scenario it's still a haze, they can't really mess it up to very bad.
What up bro .. Sorry to about your drama .. Never any good .. .. Sounds like some sweet gear ya got .. .. Im running Grapefruit this year too .. Gots me a C99 hybrid too .. S99 .. East Coast Sour D x C99 male .. .. Good luck to you this year and I hope the drama is over with .. ..
For the most part the drama has past. But you know how drama is, it comes and it goes. I'm gonna keep an eye out for your grow supa.
Ahhh .. Yes indeed .. .. Tidal motion .. Drama in our world does come and go .. .. But .. As of recent .. .. .. I hope to be out for a while .. No drama zone here .. Legal to have 12/12 .. And the girl is chill w it .. .. Just gotta let her grow a white widow .. .. And keep her stoned .. Off her ass .. ..
Hows it goin JZ, I've been dying to do an outdoor run but unfortunately I live in an urban area so thats out of the question for now. Looks like I'll just be following your grow instead!
Today I took most of my supplies out to the woods. I haven't treated the holes yet; I'll be doing that over the weekend. I will take some pics and post 'em up too. Still waiting for the smart pots to arrive. Started the seeds a few days ago. Already popped!!!! The pack of Grapefruit was supposed to be a 4 pack but it came with 8 instead! SCORE!!! The Knife - Heartbeats
I hope this grow continues the way it started off. everything is dug and ready to go!!! On the way to my plot I found another guys plot ; had 20 gal barrels filled with dirt! Gonna take a closer look later this year to see how his are doing; hopefully without being caught.
damn dude careful out there. im sure another grower like that would for sure respect if he stumbled across yours but still just means there is activity
Word! I have pretty well hidden spots. I use small breaks in trees and where there's a shit load of 10-15ft really thick brush around. I have not yet found brambles, but when I do I will transplant a bunch of it around my plots. Anyone have any good ideas to combat Slugs? Those bastards ate about half my crop last year. I have heard to use salt but I would need to trample down all the surrounding grass to make an effective ring, and I like to keep the area as natural looking as possible. I have been successful with beer-traps but they don't work very well in the wilderness.
good luck with the grow, the best remedy for slugs is copper wire. stripped speaker wire in a circle around the base of the trunk.
just a little update without pictures. they are about 3 inches tall. I have the smart pots now I'm going to transplant them on the weekend into some 4 inch pots with some fertilized dirt.
haze mist died on me!!! I'm gonna bust out some lights, doing this with window light blows. I've been trying to keep my shit onthe downlow, but i gotta get some light on these bi-atchz. transplanted last week from jiffy pods to 5 inch pots, they are about 3 inches tall, and stretchy.
