i was thinking today, and I was wondering what the outcome of a new plant would be if I were to trim off its pilot leaves... it would spead up the natural process anyways of the pilot leaves dying and falling off, but would it stunt the plants in any way, or possibly focus more energy on the fan leaves and stem growth? this is just something that ive been wondering about and before i go test it out on one of my babies thought id ask around to see if anyone's done this before or if they know or think they know what might happen.
If there is enough growth above the embryonic leaves and the single primary leaves you could trim those away,(plant usually sheds these),,then when you transplant again,,cover these nodes with medium... hope that helped some..
