  1. How much weed or drugs do you think David Lynch smokes/does/did/whatever? Can a person create things like that having never crossed the line of sobriety??? I often wonder.

You clearly have never heard David Lynch speak. He doesn't need drugs, the man is a living, breathing trip.

  6. Holy shit, I believe you. I'm only on Season 1 but I think I'm going to have to run to Blockbuster.

  7. I've never seen twin peaks and I'll admit I'm not too familiar with David Lynch's work but everything from him that I have seen has been boring and pretentious.

I'm tempted to tell you not the bother. The first season is so perfect as it is, the second season really starts to fall apart about half-way through, after the murder is caught/revealed.
Lynch admitted later on that he and Mark Frost(the other creator of the series) never intended to solve the mystery but felt pressured/obligated by the network(ABC) to do so.
And even before that moment it's noticeably slower in pace and the storyline just isn't as tight. Don't get me wrong, it's still satisfactory but it never really reaches the mark set by the first.

And David Lynch is the man, I'll admit I had a tough time getting through his latest film and typically his stuff definitely isn't for the casual moviegoer (Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive being the possible exceptions) but he's a distinctive director, an original artist who does things his way no matter the terms and you really have to appreciate the level of commitment he brings to his art.
