When you place your clay down place a layer of rocks at the bottom the the netpot then, Place netpot back in the water You should see small bubbles barley popping thru the rocks. JUST enough so the pebbles arnt floating but in the watter still. then place your cube/rapid rooter in the middle and gently fill in the clay around that. HUGE TIP: Tape measure your water lever so you can tell the evaporation over time then you will know your water level from start. When you need to top off. Example:
keep shit out of the buckets. That leaf could start the root rot. Keep water levels about 2 inches below the net pots.
