  1. really? ill have to look into that cause i drive with a heavy foot even though i have a v4 lol

  2. it works man, i rarely got above 25mpg and now the comp is reading an average of 28, 27.5 in traffic. i replaced it 200 miles ago. that means on a 15 gallon tank im getting an extra 40-60 miles.
    things you will notice:
very smooth and quiet idle on stop(rpms will be lower then your used to by 100-200)
the car accels quicker and you have to push on the gas less. less heavy foot needed
the rpms will be lower on the thruway by about 200 but you will still be going like 70 or whatev. saves gas.

bottom line, saves gas, quicker accel, smoother idle, more HP(by like 5-15)

I call bullshit, the air being pulled into your motor through your K&N filter is contaminated with oil for the first 20-30 miles and the oil is probably mucking up your MAF (mass air flow sensor) readings thus in turn causing your MPG estimate to be off, fucking electronics. No filter or bolt on mod will cause you to see an increase of +5 MPG. Also not even a full swap to cold air intake will increase your HP by 10; HP gains from a simple filter swap are probably +/- 2 HP despite manufacturers claims.

  4. my old one was dark grey with dirt so i guess i should be getting 25avg. so i guess +3 anyways its not bs, i did the trip with a full tank and was able to go an extra 40+ miles before reserve light kicked in

  5. gotcha, that makes sense if your old one was REALLY bad. Also sorry if my last post came off a bit negative. I wasn't trying to be a dick I was just throwing some real world numbers at you.

  6. idk all i know is that the comp on the dash is telling me im getting 27-28 which i didnt believe, so i had to do a trip(knowing what mileage i get on a full tank thruway.) and did the same, getting further by like 40 miles.

  9. ive got an I-4 with a AEM SRI, and i noticed slight power milage gains (and awesome sound gains)when i put it on. my guess is that your old filter was just shot to shit so the simple act of replacing it probably gained you 3-4mpg and the K&N probably made up that extra 1 mpg

  10. Those filters are legit. All the cars in my family have them.
