just recieved a plant thats been growing outdoors any tips?

    ok so ive never had a plant before but this kid i know gave one to me and my cousin, he has been growing it outdoors and its about 3-4 inches tall right now looks pretty healthy but i was wondering what i could do to make sure it doesnt die, right now i have it in a yard partialy in the sun, should i water it if so how many times a day? any tips would be helpful, thanks

    dont water too much, just make sure the pot it is in doesn't get really dry, but dont soak the soil.
