    I'm watering when need be kinda following the second knuckle rule but it's hot out here so I put them under the shade

    I just also recently transplanted a couple in three gallon smart pots I originally had them in 4x4 trays

    looks pretty over watered. try to keep them in the sun as much as possible. only putting them in the shade if you really have to at the worst points of the day. also this a good little article to read about heat. also a good one on watering.
