  1. Along with Relativity: The Special and General Theory by Albert Einstein I picked this up at my local Barnes and Nobel:

Haven't read it yet but upon flipping to a random chapter and reading two sentences I knew I had to read this book:

"When the Eastern mystics tell us that they experience all things and events as manifestations of a basic oneness, this does not mean that they pronounce all things to be equal. They recognize the individuality of all things, but at the same time they are aware that all differences and contrasts are relative within an all-embracing unity."

    Bwahhh

Anybody read it before? Thoughts? Opinions?

  2. This is a topic that has fascinated me. I haven't read the Tao of Physics but I have heard it mentioned before when researching on my own the correlations between quantum physics and religion, and psychology.

I read this book called The Self-Aware Universe: How Consciousness Creates The Material World
and I really resonated with what was written. There is also an interesting documentary featuring the author of this book called The Quantum Activist.

The double slit experiment in physics really got me thinking about the correlations with a oneness, or all encompassing energy

Here's a youtube video from Fred Alan Wolf's quantum physics comic called Dr Quantum

Watching this video was the first time I had ever heard of the double slit experiment and since then I just feel like I've been thirsting for this kind of knowledge

The Tao of Physics sounds like a great read, I will have to pick up a copy

    Good luck on your journey!

  3. + rep for the video man. thats so cool.

also that book sounds really interesting. The universe is much stranger than we think, maybe even stranger than we can imagine.

It doesn't really have much to do with Disney's Winnie the Pooh, the author of Tao of Pooh just uses those characters since everyone knows Pooh, Piglet, etc from their childhood as an example for Taoist ideology and that's what makes it so enjoyable to read :D

You should give it a try
