Just noticed something after 6 days into flowering... please help

  1. It seems I had my timer on for 11 hours and off for 13 hours.. this has still induced flowering... since the room is full of that thick smell... I'm just curious to know if I've cause any damage to the plants cycle? Its now set to 12/12, will everything be alright? :)

  2. Some growers actually set their timers for more than 12 hours of darkness at the beginning of flowering to try to get some of the hard to flower sativas to go into flowering faster...

You should be just fine...that extra hour of darkness for 6 days might have helped them start flowering sooner...just try not to mess with your timing too often...;)

  3. They will be fine, hon!

  4. Thanks for the speedy replies! Definitely put me at ease. I'll be posting a picture or two of my setup as reward :)

  5. they will be fine, as long as they get 12 hours of darkness they are ok. people do 11/13.

As promised! The plants upfront were just transplanted today.. and the teeny cups are there because I want to see what happens to a sprout brought into a 12-12 environment first hand.

For my first grow, i use a 2 foot 4 tube T5 light w/ a few CFLs off the side. Soon to add another T5 of the same variety.. Basic Low-to-no nute potting soil with a bit of Worm casting mixed in. Watered every 3 days. No extra nutes have been applied to the plants yet.

  7. they look fine, but one of your younglings on the bottom right looks like its been overwatered

  8. prolly. But before transplant.. its soil was dry from top to bottom. It just got soaked about 5 minutes ago.

  9. i would set the younglings on top of something to move them closer to the light otherwise they're going to stretch ALOT. some stretching isn't bad you don't want alot though.

  10. If you dont have problems with temps you can get your T5 light closer to the bigger plants and move the CFL over the seedlings. My T5 light is within a couple of inches of my plants.

  11. You can just leave as is..no harm no foul

  12. Or make a couple of minor adjustments and have better light coverage for the seedlings and better light penetration for the bigger plants. The seedlings are already stretching for light and if not transplanted farther down in soil eventualy they will get to top heavy and fall over.

  13. I just meant the light cycle...did not look at his pics

  14. Ah ok. My bad there. When I start flowering I sometimes leave the lights off for about 36 hours then goto a 12/12 if the strains are mostly Sativa. As for the flowering light cycle timer even 11 hours of light isnt going to do any harm like your saying.
