just made some firecrackers

Discussion in 'Cannabis & Weed Edibles: Cooking & Recipes' started by theamigo, Oct 20, 2010.

  1. so i just made some nutella firecrackers. i've got some questions.
i only ran the bud through my mendo mulcher once. was it grinded enough?
at least how long should i wait before eating them?
should i put them in the fridge?

  2. mendo mulcher; what's that?
If they were baked, why wait? eat it whenever
If they weren't baked, I would wait three days
no need for the fridge, wrap them in some plastic wrap and they should last at least a week

  3. its my grinder. i also forgot to mention they aren't baked and i dont plan on baking them

  4. you should bake them...

  5. i heard that they are more potent if you dont bake them. plus im in college so i dont want to risk baking them

  6. can anyone give me some answers?

smart to not want to bake in your college apt, the whole place will reek of a faint, but distinct, MJ smell. but they do get more potent when you do bake em

  8. any idea on at least how long i should let them sit until i can eat them?

  9. A week. If you want them potent. 3 days might do something, but ehh. I wouldn't.
Letting them sit without baking isn't a guarantee, but the longer they sit the better (to a certain extent, of course; don't let them rot).
If you really can't bake them (and if you're on campus anywhere I'd say you shouldn't), let them sit at least 7 days. Maybe more, and even then it's not a guarantee.

  10. Use alcohol to extract the cannabinoids when you can't bake the bud. Even then, you should pre-bake OR gently heat the alcohol extract.

  11. I baked a firecracker in my dorm halls community kitchen, it didnt smell 3 feet from the oven and all It did smell like was peanut butter. I wouldnt worry about the smell too much, if you are worried then double wrap it tin foil and maybe bake some additional peanut butter crackers so the peanut butter will have to overpower any mj smell.

    try it

Well then you must not be doing something right, I've never had MJ smell while the firecrackers were cooking. Solely cooked nutella or PB. And I've made many firecrackers :)

None of your friends have ovens? I also do them in the community kitchen, just wait till like 2-3am and bake em. You only need 20 mins or so. Make them in your room, then go to your community kitchen, start preheating at 350, come back 5-10 mins later, check if its done preheating, throw dem in.

But if you still cant use an oven or are afraid to, let them sit out for > 1 week.

  13. Just cook em, i did it whgen i was living in some shared housing at like 11 o clock and nobody noticed lol. Just smelled strongly of peanut butter....

  14. Yes, that's ground up enough. Listen to everybody else man, just bake them. I used to cook firecrackers in my parents house in a convectional toaster oven. Just smelled like peanutbutter. Seriously, you don't have to be paranoid about it. It sounds like you're too afraid to though, which is better safe than sorry I guess. But if you let them sit out, definitely 7+ days. But the odds are that you're just gonna wind up pissed off if you do it that way. I say try that way if you want, but you should post back with results.

  15. well im not just paranoid. i also dont have aluminum foil :(
yea i will post my results. i plan on eating them after they've been sitting for four days

  16. also can it be baked after three or four days or am isupposed to bake it asap

  17. See, im far too impatient for that shit xD for me i either eat it onm the day or i smoke dat shit :p

  18. if the chance to bake them presents itself should i normally bake them as if i had just made them? or should i bake at a lower temp or shorter time

right them they are siting in my closet wrapped in tissue and double zip lock bagged.

  19. If you live on campus, isnt there a campus store available that you can purchase foil?

Anywho, if the chance presents itself, yes, bake as normal but perhaps take a minute or two off of the baking time.
