Just lost faith in humanity.

  1. or what small bit of faith I had left. I turn on the T.V and there is a show called bridalplasty on. It's a reality show about women who are engaged competing for different plastic surgery operations. Are you fucking joking? What has this world come to? They call each other "fake bitches" but every one of them is a materialistic bitch. No wonder women are objectified. You would be hard pressed to find a man who just NEEDS plastic surgery before he gets married. If I were a man I wouldn't want to marry someone like that?
We wonder why eating disorders are so prominent. We will never be completely satisfied with what we look like. Women are classically conditioned to grow up hating their bodies. From the time that we're little we are force-fed an unrealistic body imagine and it really bothers me. One of my professors told us (and it may not be completely accurate) that if a Barbie was to be an actual person, there would be no way she would be able to stand. Her breasts are to big and her legs, waist, and feet are too small to withstand the pressure of what she's working with up top. Why is that okay?

  2. yeah this show makes me kinda sick, bad bad role models for teens watching the show. hopefully it wont be on long.

  3. That shit and teen mom...

Like what the fuck. You put a show on MTV glorifying teen pregnancy....

    They're famous because of that.

  4. this world is fucked up.

  5. Yup...:(

so a bunch of women, getting on a tv show for free tits isn't such a big deal, really. The money they make because people are watching and talking about that shit.... is.

  7. Bold.

  8. haha qft

  9. I disagree. I think it is a big deal. Those women on T.V for free tits are breading more generations of self-loathing.

  10. sorry, I may have missed my point...
    Let me post again.

so how are those women wanting to get tit jobs and lip fixes any worse then what women from around the world have been doing for THOUSANDS of years, to get pride and approval from others ?

MTV's My Sweet 16 on the other hand...

  11. quoted for double truth

  12. i want to agree with you but thats not my battle, i love myself :D

the pressure of society can be overwhelming sometimes, but it will only affect you as much as you let it. some people are so simple minded these days... they get so caught up in meaningless shit. and what is their excuse?
    "it's what on"

i say fuck television. i am 100% convinced that it is straight poison for the mind. the way it conditions our mind is very unhealthy.

  13. Ahhhhhh finally someone who agrees with me. It's like... they've earned this superhero image, just because they had underage, unprotected sex. Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant give teen pregnancy the impression that it's easy. Okay, so you get pregnant at 16. Yeah yeah you go about your remaining 16th year with this huge ass stomach and the cute little boyfriend and the supporting parents and blah blah blah. From the first time I watched this show, I was like, wow. This is so unrealistic. If I was pregnant as a teenager I'm pretty sure my parents would have disowned me. And since when was pregnancy this easy? Ah, the media. Whatya gonna do? :poke:

[IMG] BS my friend. Pure BS.

  14. Actually because of Teen mom, teenage girls are being smarter about their sexual lives. As much as i don't give 2 shits for the show, can't deny it's doing some good out there.

  15. ACTUALLY, because of teen mom teenage girls are getting pregnant in hopes of getting on MTV.

  16. I guess the articles i read are a bunch of bullshit then :p

  17. People are FUCKING RETARDED.

  18. Its just sad that they are fine with giving such a negative message to young girls. Thought they would have more class than that.

  19. I am not sure who to blame for it really, men for pressuring it
    woman for enabling it
or society of letting it happen
