This has been driving me nuts I need an honest answer. Companies claim that ceramic heating elements leech harmful particles from the top and bottom. The alumina oxide making up the ceramic might break down and cause lung disease etc. Idk if this is true or only somewhat truthful. At what temp/conditions do these ceramics actually break down? Have to remember, everyone is trying to sell a product here so vaporbros will say its unsafe. They don't use ceramic elements. However companies like 7th floor will say its as safe as glass. I honestly don't know who to believe. But I feel like a smaller company who normally don't use ceramic would be more honest/ do more research as they are closer to their customers. Anybody really know what the truth is? Because I have no problem covering my ceramic heating elements in copper tubing. Thanks GC Edit: here's a link that includes an email to vaporbros who claim ceramic elements arent safe. Yet I believe they use ceramic elements now?. Mind you this link is around 5 years old. What's changed? http://www.marijuana.com/vaporizers/63447-gnes-vapor-bros-2.html
i don't think the ceramic heating elements get hot enough to break down and release chemicals..or "outgas". you might get more of a response from fuckcombustion, their forum is a bit more geared towards vaporizers.
