The other day I was just maintaining my plants as usual, I took my biggest one out to realize it's flowering! I don't have pics of my other 3 plants cause they're not even showing sex yet, but so far they're looking like all females except one. I thought for sure the big plant was gonna turn out male, but there's about 10 or so budding sights so that's sweet! I only topped them off once, I was gonna do it twice but they started showing pre-flowering signs & IDK if that would ruin it. About how long do you think until it's prime? Right now, the "buds" are about the size of a penny, but they're not full yet, just hairy.
It could be 8 weeks, it could be longer depends on the strain, perhaps a little bit of info on strain?
of course. -these are bag seeds of an unknown strain, i started growing for fun -they were planted on May 19th 2013 -they've been in flowering for about 2 weeks
What's ur setup. Buds look small for 2 weeks imo. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
It's a closet grow with only one 60w bulb and 4 plants, and a box fan for ventilaton.. I know, I'm getting around to it. Lol Any suggestions?
and this is why you're flowering while running a veg schedule. Not to mention the 2-3 inch internode spacing. You're yield will be about a joint.
ill agree with this you want yur nodes closer so I'm not sue if you can top the plant or trim it at certain nodes think 2nd or 3 on every stem to induce bushy growth. I'm a rookie on my first grow to so this is just a idea . I went with 1000wt lights and here my plants after about 4 weeks Sent from my SPH-D700 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Yes, the spacing is weird because there was a bit of stretching during very early veg. I also forgot to mention that when I said the buds were two weeks old, the actual buds are a week old and showed up after a week of 12/12. Thanks for all of the advice though. The other 3 also turned out to be female so I think there is hope because they appear to be better plants...nicer green color, bushier, and no stretching took place. I'm also slowly incorporating organic nutes for all of them. And of course, better lighting. I'll post new pics in a couple days.
