This isn't a question as much as a heads-up to other beginners like myself. This bean took 8 days to break the surface. This was after being started in paper towels, the shell being slightly cracked open, and not planted more than a 1/4" deep. Be patient. I wasted a couple of seeds because I was not patient enough. I have two plants growing and this was my last seed, so I figured I had nothing to lose by waiting her out. Glad I did.
I germinated seeds in paper towels once and one popped 3 weeks after the rest. It died because the lights were too far away at that point and it stretched and fell over. Still, it was pretty trippy.
I went outside this last November and seen a baby sprouted in a peat pellet after a couple months out in the cold just sitting on my outside bar. I brought it and and it took off with my other babies. I get late comers all the time in my pots I set aside.
