I just picked up the Omicron V2 for $85 at my local smoke shop. I also picked up 4 grams of wax ( i think its wax? ) How should i fill my cartridge? Since I have wax its like GOO, its not really slippery enough to go down to the bottom of the cartridge. I'm not sure if it has to be Oil only, is this considered oil? Whats the best way to do this? I have the Filling tool. Heres a picture of my wax Really icky Im excited to start using this, I plan to Pack 0.5g
Weigh your empty cart before adding any wax/oil in! Put your fill tool onto the empty cart and slowly add some wax in, heat it all the way down into the cart, weigh the cart to see how much you have put it. Add no less than .5 and no more than a gram. I also suggest you at least pit 1g in as once it get to .5 your hits are not as good and once your down to about .1 - .2 it stops producing.
thanks for the tip, I filled about 0.5 but i didn't weigh it, Im about to add another 0.5 right now. So when it gets down to .1 or .2 its basically useless? Sort of like a waste of thc?
In my experience with the carts around .2 it just produces micro amounts of vapor and is useless, so just use the opposite of how you filled it to empty it and reclaim the oil.
ahh okay makes sense. So basically heat up the the cartridge from bottom to top? I read that heating the bottom of the cartridge should be avoided as it can break the seals? Also whenever switching cartridges do you try and take out whatever you can from the old cartridge?
Yes heat from bottom to top, stay away from the very bottom. Defiantly reclaim from old and used carts.
You ever tried re-using a cartridge? I always wondered if this work, technically if you clean it out and empty out all the oils it should be good as new?
Iv heard some people have success using it for a second time but not a third and some peoples get cooked right after the first fill. I recommend only using your cart once for best performance.
