Just got my first vape/the Silver Surfer Vaporizer, any tips to help?

  1. I bought a SSV and have been using it for the past couple days, I have combusted the herb a couple times while experimenting, but I now prefer putting my temperature at around 3 o' clock for thick hits. I was wondering, is there a better way to get thicker hits besides just high temperature and slow draws? Also, I heard of there being a knob to fine tune the heating element's temp. Is this true? Any possible input will help, as I would like to make vaping the best experience possible for me all my buddies! Thanks ahead of time everyone, and ride the wave :hello:

It's just a matter of fine tuning the temp versus draw speed. For me, a medium draw at between 12:00 and 1:30 works for me. If I go to 2:00 with a medium draw speed, I'll combust.

And this is one VERY big reason why a bag vape, like the 'Cano, makes a much better party vape because it takes the draw speed out of the equation. Everyone's draw speed is a bit different and can have a dramatic affect on the outcome when using a whip based vape. But once you find the sweet spot, it's vapor heaven.

Use a medium fine grind and stir the bowl with the pick after every hit. Also, being that the SSV has a pretty narrow air stream, you may want to rotate the wand as you're hitting it for a more even burn (vape) and try not to load the bowl more than half full.

  4. I feel like "thick" hits aren't exactly what you're going for with a vape..

  5. Vapor bong it, nice thick milky hits

  6. Why not? I can get thick hits from my vape.

  7. Do head shops sell vapor bongs? lol

  8. A vapor bong is just any vaporizer with an attachment to attach it to a bong. Allows you to milk to chamber with the vapor like you would with smoke.

  9. Although I believe the creators of the vapor blunt have a vaporizer with a built in water chamber with multiple percs, not sure about any others that are all in one though

Yup, but not many, especially in the US. Check out the Danish Verdamper:

  11. Do you think I could hook it up to an acrylic footer that I have, and how would I do it? Appreciate the help though

  12. Most likely yea. Take a pic for better ideas of the bong, but the rubber whip tubing with the glass mouthpiece removed MIGHT work

it's easier to make it work with a bong with a glass on glass joint
