Just got my card!!! Any tips?

    So today I went to Medicann in Oakland on 19th street. After I got my rec I walked over to the blue sky coffee shop (Coffee Shop SR-71) or whatever the name is... They only had a few strains on display in their "menu" (i ended up buying an 8th of white widow and some edibles).

    What im wondering (for anyone thats been there before) is are there any other strains you can ask for? The "menu" was basically a card book with bags of weed in it with labels on them, however they didnt have very many strains in it. Can you ask for a specific strain and will they have it?

    Also if anyone can recomend any good dispencaries In or around Oakland?

    Would much appriciate it.

    Occasionally, they'll have a some meds that haven't been completely "processed" (made ready for distribution), and like 311alien said, just ask. I'm surprised that they would only have a few strains though in this day and age. My favorite dispensary in Sacramento carries at least 10 on a slow day, as many as 40 on a good day.

    Also, there are plenty of legal home growers who will part with their excess for a very fair rate. Always scour the S.F./Bay Area Craigslist and do a search for either "Prop 215" or "meds" and you won't be disappointed.

    the vapor room in san francisco is pretty nice wich is now mr. nice guy if im not mistaken gor to norml.org they got listings yee hoped that helped

    Sign up for sites like weedtracker.com so you can see their menu online and have an idea of what you can expect when you go in. When you sign up check out this page:

    blue sky usually has three name brand strains and one type of mids. If you ask the dude for a strain he'll tell you if they have it or not.

    Hey man I live in oakland as well. Hit up harborside in oakland or Medithrive in sf. or bpg in berkeley

    what part of oakland you from? And i don't really fuck with the berkley clubs. I sometimes go to the green door and the vapor room, but i mainly stick with purple heart and blue sky

    I dont go to berkeley clubs anymore since I discovered medithrive and then harborside. Ive been to the vapor room and it kinda sucked imho, I heard at blue sky you pick your stuff out of a binder with inserts. i thought that was kinda ghetto. dont know if its true though. Medithrive and harborside have the best buds ive seen around here

    Yeah you do pick your buds out of a binder. I like blue sky cuz it's really quick and fast and it's a block away from bart. They also have the cheapest 1/8ths , but it's not a fun club to go to like purple heart. It's more of a convenience club then a club where you can look at all the strains and sit down and smoke. If i have the time i like the clubs where you can smoke and they give you free food and stuff.

    Your a consumer. If you don't like a product go support someone who will take care of your needs. It's ok to support a new company, but weed out the dickheads.
