Did some digging around and found a stash of my old PC games CoD/Unite Offense (best and only good cod) CoD2 BF1942 BF2 KOTOR2 F.E.A.R Deus Ex 1 & 2 Max Payne 2 Half-Life 1 & 2 Black and White 1 & 2 Homeworld 2 A shit ton of C&C UT2003 Marrowind Now, my PC when I was 14, although it was a strong build played these fine, I'll be pissed if this mass produced $600 Dell pos can't. I want to shit brix with the lights of screaming at Alma. My other option was KOTOR 2 since I haven't played it and heard it was better of the two and I need a good RPG which also bring up Marrowind. I wouldn't mind revisiting HL2 if this rig can handle it. What do GC, this is what I'm stuck with until I can build a new rig in spring.
I'd be all over the Command & Conquer if I were you. Sounds really fun right now. Or Unreal tournament. Shit now that I think about it all those games are great. Very nice stash.
Yo, I have a thing for old games, I hope your body is prepared. If you like point and click adventure games check out the monkey island series, all of them, because there are hd versions of the originals floating around the Internet now. You have home world 2 on the list,The but not 1,this is sad, if you can fight off old game syndrome, work through it. It's one of my favourite games of all time because of the amazing space opera saga. Rpgs, never winter nights Bro, and all the expansion packs, will keep you busy for months. That and a baldurs gate hd thingy just came out recently yo. Www.indiegames.com Is an amazing site for stuff that will run on a relatively weak pc. If you can run half life two check out humble bundle, and see if there's anything in the current or upcoming bundles that interest you. Following is a list of games I swear by. Machinarium Botanicula Dust force World of goo Portal Warhammer 40k dawn of war Death spank Plants vs zombies Eufloria All of these are amazing high. Amazing. Have fun, and sorry for wall of text
I wanted to play KOTOR, but it doesn't have widescreen support. I tried modding the ini file but it wouldn't let me even in admin mode, despite it working for others. The other mods I tried didn't work either but I'm not giving up yet. For now I ended up playing a bit of B&W2 and HL2. I'm amazed I can run HL2 with decent frame rate on medium-high with AAx2 but can't am unable to play shit like Tribes Ascend or TF2 on low. I wonder if I could run Fallout 3. Too bad all games don't have benchmark tests before you can buy them. I was never big on table tops, but i have always wanted to give NeverWinter Nights a try. I'm sure they're great games but I can't into point and click adventure games. How does Homeworld compare to Homeworld 2? I really want to play 2 right now but i'm an idiot and already misplaced it again. I love the extra demention, very fun and 'new' way to play RTS. I'm looking forward to the MMO that is in the making that plays like an galactic RTS; buy, build, research, train. But you can play as the units first person as well as govern. Ages of Empires Online looks intresting, i might give it a chance since its free to play but I don't like the way it looks compared to the old ones. C&C2 and Yuri's Revenge is probably my favorite of the C&C, but I might be give Renegade a try. I was completely disappointed with Generals. I also found StarTopia which was a fun space station "simulator".
Shit, Vicious you need to get SC2 if you're looking for a good RTS.
And if you want to lose countless hours of frustration, but also extreme euphoria. Only an SC2 player understands this.
Lack of exposure? Never really played it much and what I did play I couldn't get into. I wasn't fond of the unit types and overall lore.
Home world 1 doesn't really match up with two as far as graphics and such. It's a game feeling it's age a bit. But if you haven't played 2 yet I highly suggest starting on 1 if you can. Just fore the lore and such. Dat return to kharrak sequence. Then single player campaign is also much more difficult than two in my opinion. I don't known if you can get patches or anything to remedy this though. I think if you can run hl2 well enough fallout 3 should be okay. Start with oblivion and see how that runs as an indicator
SC2 is a great improvement on Sc1 IMO. Sc1 had a higher learning curve and was more difficult to play. C&C was a great game indeed. I still reccommend getting Sc2 though.
Going back to BW from SC2 is pretty weird. I hate having to hotkey every 12 units. Not to mention I rediscovered my hate for lurkers.

Rushing you before you get detection when I first started out, yeah I agree that sc1 had the higher learning curve.
You haven't played the half lifes? Dude... Do it, I don't know if 1 will be too old for you now, but that's where it all started, man.
Theres a remake of HL1 called Black Mesa Source, someone posted a thread in this section on it, ive never played it but i will as soon as i get home. Great games
Oh you found your old games! The title of the thread reminded me of when I found a gram or so in a playstation2 gamebox a year or 2 back, that stuff has been in there for at least 8 years haha, used to hide it there when I couldn't smoke in my parents house. Anyhow, old games, old memories, enjoy!
