Just about finished first organic grow

  1. Hey guys thought id compile my last couple month long journey with my first indoor organic soil grow into a single thread.

This grow started october 18th, 2021 and began in happy frog soil for the first 2 weeks under a HLG quantum board led dimmable 320watt in a 3’x3’x5’ tent with basic intake/out take fans.

At 2 weeks old i transplanted them into 5 gallon fabric pots that contained ff ocean forest potting soil and i mixed in healthy extra amounts of alfalfa meal, fish bone meal, and ewc then drenched in neptunes harvest kelp/fish emulsion liquid fertilizer, which i used once a week throughtout the entire veg period which lasted roughly 2 months.

I encountered 2 major problems thoughout this grow. First off being my tent placement in my garage was FAR too cold and i lost some headway in the first month for sure, moved my tent inside and managed to keep the temps above 70 while the lights were on (mid to low 60’s during lights off period, which i made sure was during sunlight hours). The second problem was i guess PH really did matter because around the 6 week mark growth slowed and the plants wilted. With the help of some diagnosing/advice from @Weedweasle i started to ph my tap water down to 6.3 with some basic white vinegar and saw a quick bounce back from the ladies and its been smooth sailing since.

The strains are Gelato and Sunset Sherbert from ilgm, the photos are in order from the day they sprouted (oct 18th) until today February 5th, 2022. Theyll have a few more days to ripen before i chop and begin to dry and cure, ill update that as soon as that process is done. Thanks for reading, and i hope you enjoy the show as much as i did!

  4. Those are pretty. First shot at soil, that’s pretty nice results. I’m sure you learned a lot. Getting that first one under your belt is always tough. Now that you have a baseline and some know how, you can start optimizing things next round.
    Cheers
