Just a semantics question

  1. Hello all
My wife and I were discussing the differing perceptions of the past; for example nostalgia and the like. We began discussing if the average human's outlook was similar(within reason) today as it has been through modern history (1930s onward). My question is this, is there a word for the idea that human outlook changes very little over the course of time? Also what do my brothers and sisters from the city think? Is the average person subject to the same basic struggles and morality questions that his/her grandparents were subject to?

    Namaste :smoke:

  2. I think things have pretty much been the same since the 1960's.

My dad makes the time before that sound so much simpler and innocent.

  3. but is it just the nostalgia? I can't be sure but the ephemeral nature of our memories tends to erase the less pleasant parts.

  4. The human condition?

  5. That sounds familiar, thank you kindly friend +rep
