I was wandering.. see i have two plants about 12 or so inches tall.. im using miracle gro potting soil.. a 24 inch fluorescent grow light thats about 2 inches from the plants.. a 32 by 42 inch grow space.. also you can already see pistils coming out of both of them and i dont have the right nutrients available because of money problems... there showing signs of deficiencies but when it flowers are the flowers gonna be useable? Its just a small grow for personal recreation.. not sure what strand they are its just regular not medical seeds.. please help Sent from my Event using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Do you have any nutes at all? If you don't have any, they'll be dead long before they finish flowering, especially if they're showing deficiencies now.
I dont even know what nutes are.. so they're gonna die?? Sent from my Event using Grasscity Forum mobile app
just put the plant in a really big pot; at least 5 gal. if your not gonna give it nutes give the roots some room to grown so they can maybe live through flowering. Do not let the soil dry out and the plant may live. With the light you have your gonna get loose scragly buds.
Okay but i dont have a big pot like that.. but can i put it in a bucket?? And its okay to repot her while shes flowering?Sent from my Event using Grasscity Forum mobile app
That sucks about the loose scragly buds.. maybe ill wait till i can get a better light after this grow Sent from my Event using Grasscity Forum mobile app
You can find fox farm trio packs, almost like sample packs, on eBay for..... I think the 50 grams of each I got was $20. Sure the guy selling them is doubling his money, but it let's us broke asses get a hold of enough to get a plant or two through a grow successfully. Lots of cheap nutrient lines though. Age Old did me fine for quite a while. IMO I'd try to finish the grow out, even if it turns into an epic failure it will be a learning experience. Don't feel bad about it either. I spent two years destroying grows before I finally ended up with a mostly successful grow. Never stop reading.
Im super broke lol but im going to try to get the money (i dont work) :/ i fully intend on finishing my little 1st grow it must feel fulfilling to actually have your own successful grow.. and on your first try.. at least we know they're both fems i do have one more question tho...So do i have to "flush" my plants before i harvest? *lovethisstuffSent from my Event using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Depends on how you feed them, but in any case, a week or two of only water right at the end of the grow should suffice as a "flush". Taking my word for anything isn't recommended though, since you aren't working maybe you can dedicate an hour or two a day into reading the stickies in what sub forums here that apply to you and your grow.
I have been i want to try to get a job for the little things i could buy for them. In any case, next grow i will have what i need (ferts, the right soil, and possibly a better light) But your advice is better than no advice Sent from my Event using Grasscity Forum mobile app
you can make your own fertilizer for free. The soil will contain everything plants need to sustain healthy and abundant growth. You mix clay material with with compost and chicken manure and dried food scraps and news paper's and a bit of sand. The worms decompost the soil so you have the best possible thing for the garden. and you won't need to go to the store to waste your hard earned money on synthetic nutrients.
I'm a total amateur. Can anyone tell if that is male or female? We're a bit antsy. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Is it in the flowering stage? Unless it's a boy you wont know until you put it into flowering. Males you will see balls.. females will grow pistils.. (pistils are 2 white hairs coming out of a little soft flower like bud near where the new leaves usually grow in.. ie. On the stem right next to new leave developments or on top in the middle.. again where new leave clusters come in.. (not a hard looking ball.. note that balls will come as a different branch with more than one ball) till its flowering you won't know for sure. Sent from my Event using Grasscity Forum mobile app
