The 2012 LA Angels will either be the '76 Reds or Josh Hamilton will overdose. Any thoughts on that? Any thoughts on the Winter Meetings in general?
Die hard Rangers fan here and i honestly could care less he is gone. I have never felt so let down as a fan (from any sport) as i felt the last month or so of the season last year. I understand if you are in a slump or struggling but he flat out gave up and had the demeanor that he could care less. I was at the Wild Card game against Baltimore when he went 0-4 on 8 freaking pitches!!! No emotion at all. I was heartbroken to see that and yes i booed the shit out of him. If we would've signed him i would've accepted him with open arms but i honestly did not care if he stayed. Now losing Napoli and Young hurts deeply (Napoli for his production and Young for what he means to this franchise). I am starting to hate the Angels almost as much as the Yankees now and they are going to be in beast mode next season with Pujols, Hammy, and Trout (dudes a freak) but im hoping they fall off and can't put it together. But as of right now im in a hope for the best expect the worse situation when dealing with the Angels lineup. Edit- And I will never forget what he did for this franchise and all of the great moments we had but it just became PAINFULLY obvious to me we needed to move on and he is not ,emotionally, the FRANCHISE player his talent resembled. I think he will actually shine even more in a place like LA where he is not the number 1 guy. I wish him the best but hope his team sucks it up.
It seems to be a common trend in Los Angeles to pick up star players who don't mesh well. This lineup is absurd though
