First, I have to give credit to Budslinger for his DIY rdwc setup thread. Threads like his make this place an awesome learning environment. I basiclly follwed his design with a few minor adjustments. I expanded to a 6 bucket system and am utilizing a higher flow 390 gph water pump. I am also adding a diversion valve to the sump to allow adjustable flow to the buckets, and extra flow will be fed back into the sump for stirring. I havent decided yet on air pumps, if I should run small aquarium style pumps or one larger industrial pump. I am still debating on strain choice as well. I am doing three smurfberry autos, and am thinking about la diva for the other three. I will update later with pics of the bucket setup.
A few of the buckets. I stll have to pick up a res and one more bucket. Ive been lucky to find the black 5 gallons at walmart for $4, the hydro store wants $8 for them. I ordered tubing, fittings, and a tds meter yesterday they should be in next week.
Actually yes I have. Part of the reasoning behind choosing a rdwc setup was so that I wouldnt have to access individual buckets, making it easier to scrog. The next grow will most likely be 6 Barney's Pineapple Chunk under a scrog. I may change my mind on the strain but a well done 6 plant scrog should give nice yields. Doing autos this time just because I want a quick turn around to bulk up the stash.
Forgot a few details. My setup is currently: 4' x 4' gyo tent (amazon) 600w mh/hps with cool tube 6" 424 cfm fan with speed controller Htg filter, though getting replaced by a phresh soon
I now have started a northen lights regular seed and will keep you updated with the progress - i may need some help as this one will be my first hydro. Is it ok to leave it for a week at the start ? I mean i am hoping the ph doesnt drift too much - i am going to soak the clay pebbles in ph'd water first - i guess the plant doesn't drink a lot to start with and also there will be no nutes initially - or should i start seedling in a very weK grow nute solution ?
if possible let the soup sit overnight before leaving it for a week. then youll get an idea of what kinda drift youll be dealing with!

Well, things are put on hold for a bit. The support rods in my tent broke, and caused my filter to fall in to my garden. I just dont trust my light hanging in the pos any more. Its a gyo1008 tent. I highly suggest any one looking for a tent spends the extra few dollars for quality.
Well the new tent will be on its way soon. I decided to pick up a 96" x 55" from htg. I will only be using one side with a 600 for now but it will give me room to have a 4 x 4 scrog. Hydro system is built, but now I am paranoid and dont want to screw up my autos, so I think I will do them in soil this run. I tried to change the title, but cant with the app.

id run the autos in DWC bro. i ran 2 hymilayian blue diesel in 2 3 gallon smart pot with ocean forest and fox farm nutes.. only yielded 14 grams each.
