joints and rolling techniques

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by naouaiaziz, Mar 13, 2012.

  1. so, my question. I roll joints and I feel like they light and then die out super quick. I pack it super tight. Is there any way I need to roll it to help it stay lit longer?

  2. Actually try to roll the joint, not pack it!

Rolling it allows you to really control the burn. Make sure you roll a little looser than what you have been doing, too tight and it doesn't stay lit.

  3. Yep, a super tight pack isn't gonna stay lit. Rolling by hand gives the perfect consistency

  4. Yeah and try grinding your herb a little more finer if you dont

  5. i have the same problem, it feels like my joints burn really quickly
if i roll like .3 into joint it only burns for like a minute maybe two

  6. Roll bigger joins. The weed burns slow but when u are burning mainly paper it just zaps it

  7. .3? Oh man my joints are never smaller than a g lol. No wonder they last so long.

    Also: T Pitch

  8. People may jump on me for suggesting this, but I'd recommend getting one of those plastic rolling machines. They're only like $5, and give you a near-perfect roll every time

I use those, I like the ritual of using it I've never been able to hand roll and none of my friends give me shit for using it :D. I roll a decently thick joint and mine always burn slow and stay lit. If you can't get the hang and wanna roll pretty good joints get a rolling machine for like 4 bucks

  10. I just rolled my second joint tonight after thinking for about a month of to learn or not. I got it pretty decently rolled, it was snug but not too tight. I would suggest when you're tucking/rolling it right before you lick it, you don't push down too hard on the bud (finely ground bud is better than scissored or hand broken). That way they will let air through but won't burn very fast. Tonight, I smoked for about 6-7 mins (and I was smoking fast too). I put about .4g in it. Hope this helped :smoke:

  11. How I roll my doobs I pinch the herb till it evens out, make sure there's a tray under it so none is wasted. When its evenly distributed through out the paper, kinda fold the paper over it gently then roll up lick the glue strip and roll it up, then taper the ends or twist.

.3 is your problem bro lol

  13. Tuck and roll. make sure the bud is broken down finely or ground. Not to loose not to Tight. more tightly rolled than loose.

  14. Take in to account the quality of papers you are using. For example, the poor quality papers that I find at my local gas station will hardly ever stay lit, but when you start using papers like Zig-Zag and RAW you will find the papers will stay lit better. There are a lot of great suggestions in this thread such as grinding your weed and rolling them not so packed.

  15. Raw organic are great papers to use. Paired with raw filters ;)

  16. thank you so much homies. I grind my bud so it's not that. I'm going to try to roll it looser than usual. Does the fact that I roll cones matter?

U don't want it loose. That means more air flow. What does air do to fire. Makes it burn hotter witch means it burns faster. More wee man that is the problem. I roll joints like a far blunt an they burn for ever. I will light one up set it down an play a game of cod an when its over the jay is still cherried an burning.

  18. What I sometimes do is after I roll the joint I may roll it up in a second paper.
Some people may hate this idea, but it makes the joint burn very slow
    Just an idea

  19. Same here, Joints just don't stay lit.
If you want your weed to stay lit the entire time you have to roll blunts.
