Shame on you blades for not making this thread already! You know, I can't believe it - I'm a 31 year old rock-musician. I play 4 instruments and never bothered to listen to Johnny Cash until I saw Walk the Line LAST YEAR. I deserve -reps for that. Good thing for me, GC doesn't do that anymore! But yeah. This man was incredible. His persona, his lyrics, his sound, his bond with June Carter - all the way up to his Hurt cover and his death. So sad but so triumphant at the same time. I am in awe of this man. I also relate musically because I have the same exact range as him and could probably sound (SOUND - tone-wise - not BE) like Johnny Cash. But anyway, I digress. Check out some good shit! That was beautiful. There are so many of his songs that I've missed well over 85% of them. That was great, though. Awesome lyrics. The bells and stuff in the background give it such a nice quality.
I can dig some Johnny Cash. Boy named sue is a great one [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIuo0KIqD_E]YouTube - johnny cash-one piece at a time[/ame]
Why the hell is there only one page to this thread. Where are all the Cash fans? I have been listening to him a lot lately. When the man comes around and Gods gonna cut you down are definitely the most bad ass songs he has done.
I love johnny cash. After I saw walk the line I was addicted. Read his books, listened to h is music... if I wasnt at work I'd rock out to those vids <3

Johnny Cash is one of my long time favorite artists. I have three of his albums hanging above my bed. I'm not a fan of contemporary country, but the classics are great and Cash is probably the best of the bunch. This is likely my favorite song from Johnny Cash: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGMpc5bCpFY"]Johnny Cash-Get Rhythm - YouTube[/ame]
I'm just getting into Mr. Cash myself, so this thread is great for me! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PEVK66jsEM]Johnny Cash & Bob Dylan - Girl From The North Country - YouTube[/ame] This is one of my favorite pieces of music.
I covered 2 of his songs. Rough drafts, but I am playing all instruments and singing. Cocaine Blues and 25 Minutes to go. Let me know!
