so much better than torre. Take it from a die-hard yankee's fan. We finally have a guy who can manage a bullpen without ruining all the arms (too bad we have nobody in our bullpen... torre had a great one to work with but he ruined everyone) the yanks also have team chemistry for the first time since about '99-'00. Instead of having torre asleep in the dugout, we have a guy who takes passion in his team. what the fuck are you talking about! Why would you bring LaRussa into this conversation? He has nothing to do with anything. it was either Joe G or Don Mattingly. Larussa has been the cards manager and is still under contract.
He was considered for the Yankees job two years ago. This is true, whether you want to believe it or not. Not sure why you're so upset. People seem to get emotional much more frequently when the topic is sports. Pretty silly when you think about it, although I'm no different.

And you're entitled to your opinion but to be honest, you're flat-out wrong, there's no fucking way you can say, considering their respective track-records, that Joe Girardi is a better manager than Joe Torre with a straight-face, least not yet.

I'm nowhere near a Yankee fan, but I have a soft-spot in my heart for Joe, because he was the Angels color guy for many years when I was growing up, and I'm a DIE-HARD Angels fan. It's actually great fun to have him managing the Dodgers, who I normally can't stand, but can now tolerate under Torre.
I moved to florida from new york in 2004. A lot of you guys don't see him on an everyday basis. He should have let rivera stay in that game the other night against Tampa. Let him finish the inning! dont take the ball from him with runners on like that. (he took a beating for that on new york radio) I'll update this thread after each red sox game.
