  1. OK welll I was workin at this truckin unloading/loading dock for 12$ cash. But Had to stop that b.c it is like 1 1/2 hours away. Then got a job at this wow buffalo wings place, but he lied to me. He said that I would be a supervisor but when I get there he tells me that ima cook. FUCK THAT. Im not cooking for 7$ an hour. So my friend wants to get me this telemarketing job for 18.50 an hour but if I get someone else a job too I get a Grand!!!

The only problem is that my parents wont let me quit the wow place or I will have to pay to live at there house. Why are parents bitches? Did anybody ever have a telemarketing job before? Looking for advice b.c im stoned and freakin out.

  2. I did telemarketing last summer, it's honestly probably the easiest money that you can possibly get, but you have to be the right kinda person! You have to be able to handle people, even when they have the shittiest attitudes, because trust me, you will run into a LOT of shitty people when you are calling them! lol, i just thought "hey, im gettin payed to bother people, and i dont get drug tested here!" lol. i would say try it out, and tell your rents to suck your ball if they are gonna try to make u pay to live there... or move out :)

  3. It depends if you cold calling people, or taking constant incoming calls. I took calls and hated it. I lasted almost six monthes but by then I was looking for any excuse to quit and finding reasons not to go in. I sat and heard one bullshit problem after another with crappy people running the place telling me how to do my job. The pay was decent but it might as hell have been hazard pay.

  4. man telemarketing is a good industry and the moneys there its better then working hard in some warehouse like me man you can make the same amount i do just listing in the air-conditioning, but it all matter on what kind of calls your handling! Cold calls suck man its the kind of calls you get when you sit down and ate dinner and they ask if you want to sign up for a new credit card. that's were your going to get the most attitude or people hanging upon you but if your taking incoming calls of people ordering shit it will be pretty chill man and as far as your folks man do what i did get a couple of friends together and get a house or apartment together every night will be a party man!

  5. telemarketing isn't a bad job if you have the right personality for it. no drug tests (but pretty much impossible to do your job if you come in high), and good pay. and yeah, get some friends and move out, if your parents are gonna be like that, then you probably wouldn't wanna live with them anyway. Just get your friends to work there too, so you can all car-pool there, work, get back to your own place and blaze. Just stay strong, the job can be mentally tiring (I did cold-calls for about a year... getting donations for various drug enforcement agencies... which was funny because my boss was also my dealer.)
