  2. I inherited a large sum of money, but I work and co-own a collision shop. I come in in the morning, park the Ferrari, Supra, Camaro, and my Cobra (mustang not the original) out front for looks, and sit there and give people quotes. Shoot the shit with people who bring in their whips because they see all of ours out front. At lunch, we lock up and take the rides around to town and get a bite to eat. Smoke some bowls too. Love my job with all my heart.

I work in a local restaurant. This time next month, I'll be the newest supervisor :) Nothing glamorous, but it comes with a pay and hours bump.

Mostly I'm accepting for the experience. With supervisor experience for a couple years, I can find another job with a bigger company, and work my way up the management ladder, if my other dreams don't pan out. I want to teach English as a second language, and do some translation work on the side, but even though the teaching credits I'll need are fairly minimal, the education that goes into becoming fluent in another language or two (I'm working on Spanish and French right now) is a hell of a lot of schooling. Even doing it in a non traditional classroom setting, it take time, a hell of a lot of time. And the way I figure it, if I'm going to spend that much time learning anyway, I might as well just get a Doctorate or masters in "insert whatever language I feel at this particular time*.

So I suppose you could call my management aspirations, in the meantime dreams lol.

  7. Admin at ups, i'd like to be hired as a programmer, system admin, or security engineer when i graduate college though. I freelance now to gain experience.

  8. Work in a kitchen, make pretty good money. I'm only 19 though so nothing serious yet. I'm not sure what I want to do there's so many options. My parents are pressuring me to go to school next year but I don't know what to do. I could stay at my current job, which I love. The kitchen manager makes close to 100 000 but he's still young so I would have to wait for awhile. I could be the night manager soon but that's only like $30 000 and shitt hours. Life's tough

  9. No dude! Don't you see? This is the absolutely perfect opportunity for you. 30k is nothing impressive, but you can certainly live modestly on this. Still, it could get you out on your own. Here's the kicker though, night hours are perfect for you.

This is why. Working nights, you will have the opportunity to go to college. There has to be a local community college somewhere near you. Most medium to large sized communities do. You don't even have to go full time, though you certainly could. And if you have the dedication to take online classes, for the love of god do it. You don't even need to get a degree, you could just get certification for something that makes bank. I hear Pharmacy techs and Phlebotomists get paid pretty damn well.
