Jobs in other states?

  1. Ok I've been at this for a little while. I've setup 2 of my friends with grows and clones and been maintaining my grow and checking on theirs every other week also. So my question is : in other states is there a market for like hydro home setup? Like I come set up a grow for a couple so they can just have good smoke they grew (that's how I've done it so far). Not crazy big grows just like one room ones. If anyone has any input on if other states would have a need for my services please message or respond with comments.

    Some grows I've set up 1377359438100.jpg 1377359480621.jpg 1377359500206.jpg

  2. Nice pics... Sounds well and good but you'd have to stick with the states that have adopted medical laws, and provide your services for people that are legal etc.. And for your own protection you as well should be medically legitimate.. If not i'd say it's too risky, or you'd have to keep it strictly under-ground which would make advertising or marketing a little trickier, and just not really worth the risk if you ask me..

  3. Yeah that's the plan is to be legal. I want to help people grow quality bud for personal use. I'm not in it to make money off bud I'd rather make money off helping people grow.

Alaska bro!!!! There is great need for hydro grow setups and collaborations between growers....we probably have one of the worst medical laws in the country...1.no dispensaries 2.barely any pot friendly doctors 3.terrible state for outdoor grows 4.shady law structure around medical mj.... Most patients have to break the law and buy from street dealers, or grow their own but most still buy illicitly....services like those you speak of could help patients start their own grows or create more caregivers(people who grow for patients) it's also perfect timing because during next year's(2014) state elections will have marijuana legalization legislature on the ballot to become legal like Washington and colorado.....you already know I'm on my first grow but I plan on helping others in the medical side and the future state licensed dispensary growers....once I know what I'm doing

  5. Yeah was hoping some Washington / Colorado people would give insight into this topic. Lol

  7. What you're talking about is consulting.    Keep in mind that most small  scale home grows are on a budget, and consulting fees are usually reserved for larger projects.    The difficult thing here is building trust with who you're consulting for, and getting word out about what you do.

I wouldn't invite any stranger to my grow, would you?  That's the rub.

I can't speak to what Colorado is doing, but I'm active and up to date with what's happening in Washington.  We will have so many regulations in place that the only people who will be able to afford (make a profit) from growing/processing and supplying the retail shops will be well funded organizations (big business) There's a ridiculous amount of regulation in place.

There will be more demand for consulting work in keeping a marijuana business operating within state law, than how to grow.  The state is hiring inspectors who will frequent these establishments, find where they fall out of regulation, and fine them.  The proposed fines are ridiculously heavy, and the state is planning to earn a lot of revenue not only off taxes, but fines!

For instance, a grower shipping to a producer must:

Note every stage of every plant and log it in a system, from seed to sale.   At harvest, you must weigh total plant, buds, fluffy nugs, fan leaves, sugar leaves, and stems separately.   They must add up.  Once dry, you must weight them again, and log it.   All these activities must be video recorded and stored for about 45-90 days.   Before the product can ship to the processor, it must be placed in a secured area under 24/7 video surveillance for 24 hours prior to being shipped.  The delivery driver must notify the State Board that the marijuana will be leaving the premesis of the grow operation, with an ETA that it will arrive at the processor, and both the processor and the grower will have to log these times.   The driver will not be allowed to make any stops that are unnecessary.

This is just an example of how tightly regulated this business is going to be.   Can you imagine how much overhead is going to be involved in this process?   Can you see how/why it's only going to be run by big business?   It's set up to only attract big business, with big money, and big power.

The government putting this into place washes the hand of the wealthy investors, who washes the other hand of the government.   No different than any other business in a capitalistic society.

  8. Yeah that's way to much government for me!

  10. I have been wondering about the job thing too. The Cannabis Carrer Institute is coming here next month and I have been thinking about taking the class. You get "certified" in different things but not sure if it is worth the $250.

  11. Well I'm already running 3 grows and didn't hafta pay 250 for any certification lol. Just wish I could get paid for helping people grow. Right now my friends get free clones and free help. Only money I make is off my own stuff and that's not enough to live on really.
