Job Application Question

Discussion in 'Real Life Stories' started by PassTheGrass, Jun 27, 2012.

  1. I'm applying for a cashier/stocking/etc. job at a local natural foods store. They ask a question on the job app: "What do you want to do for (name of the company)?"

I'm unsure how to answer the question. I want to say something about making the store more inviting and happy, but I feel that implies it's not inviting and happy now. Any idea's guys?

  2. Rattle off some bullshit about how you feel your personality fits in well with the atmosphere of the store, and you believe that your attitude will make the experience more positive for the customers. And maybe something about your knowledge of and interest in healthy food will enable you to be a great help to buyers.

  3. Or something along these lines.

I want to enhance customer service through attention to detail, awareness of customer's desires, and a professional bearing. I believe I have the skills and talents necessary to enhance your already stellar reputation and will be a part of a great team. etc.
