Hey Everyone, My CFL Cabinet grow is officially under way, thanks to all the tips and advice I received here on GC. But before I make a journal I would like to take it back to where it all began LOL WHERE TO GROW? THE IDEA FOR SPACE

Initally wanted to do AK47-Auto Strain, for specific reasons I decided to hold off and do a test run with some bagseeds I had. My intentions are to do strictly auto after this run. Don't know what I will do with these after a certain size, If all goes well I plan to build a Big Flower Cab? I will need a home for these girls and some where to do about 6 autos (medicine expensive), so the BFC might be on its way. So i grab 4 seeds and use the old paper towel method. After the seeds cracked (as seen in the last post) I grabbed 4 Red party cups and 4 smaller clear plastic cups. The space only allows about 2 plants, So I germinated 4 due to the female/male and death/life ratio 50/50. Check out the pics GERMINATED SEEDS - HOME FOR SPROUTS
Hey All, Two days after I planted the cracked seeds 2 sprouts appeared, one is peaking through and the fourth is still underground, Hope it's not a dud. THE SPROUTS ARE OUT - SO FAR 75% GERMINATION
Updates for this thread will be located in The Indoor GROW JOURNAL in 1 Week, I will begin My Journal then, I still have a few questions and would like to make sure they survive. In a week or so I will put these babies on a timer, add alot more lights, lower the shelf to correct distance from bulbs and let them do thier thing. See you in a week
Hey man, good idea starting out with the bag seed. Ordering seeds can get costly if your grow fails. I am thinking of doing some normal strains now too. The autos are good for height restrictions but I think you can do the same thing with normal strains by LST, a short veg period and a smaller pot will all keep the height down and you can get much better quality herb.
What's up Bro Just figured it will be a good learning experience, I want my thumb green before trying to growing expensive exotic strains I'm 100% sure the plants are sativas. probably going to try LST'ing. I would like to learn that technique.
Hey Guys, UPDATE DAY 5 Have a quick update and a few questions, Would greatly appreciate the help. My babies are about 5 days old. I originally planted 4 and these 2 survived. I have germinated 2 more seeds and got them started. I'm a little worried about my two, One is doing ok I think a little slow, the other one is a little deformed don't know if I should keep it or kill it. I see a little curling on the second set of the normal one. are they ok? Lights are 4 26w = 110w 6500k Are they too close or not close enough? The box keeps an average of 46 % humidity 28 deg Celsius
I wouldn't worry about it, one of mine came up with a really deformed leaf I left it alone and a few weeks later it was my best one. Don't give up on em, and certainly don't go killing them since its a 50/50 chance its going to be female/male.
Hey i am doing a grow very similar to yours about the same exact time in the same exact type of cab. at the moment yours looks more professional with the white walls and good reflector. I will get some pics of mine after i fix it up a bit so i am not so embarrased lol. but i have about 8 going in the box with 4 45w cfls.
hey bro, they look good. like they said, dont worry about deformed leaves. You will get a couple here and there and usually they are the first ones. But I have to say, everyone I see grow in cups like that the plants look droopy. You need to put some drainage holes in those cups so you dont drowned your plants and a little air can get in there. Don't keep the soil so wet all the time. Did you happen to know the strain of the bag seed?
Thanks for the reply Nugs, always can count on you. Yeah I just noticed it's sprouting 2 sets of leaves (4 now instaed of 2?), so I guess it's ok they're still growing. I actually do have drain holes punched out. Don't know the strain, I do know it's brick weed sativa for sure. Im just hoping that the brick weed was years old and went through alot of states and abuse. It might actually be ok bud when freshly grown.
ahh ok cool. They are probably pretty hardy plants then. I think that brick weed loses a lot of it's potency and taste from the way they mass dry it and not cure it so you never know, it sure is possible to turn out to be decent smoke. Good luck man, I'll stay tuned
you'd be surprised man, i used bag seed from texas, which you KNOW is straight up mexican schwag-brick weed. Ended up with 3 indica-dominants and 1 sativa dominant. LOL I was shocked when I finally realized it, because like you I was sure I had 4 sativas. "So that's why that one looks all crazy!" I thought for sure I did something bad to the sativa, leaves all narrow and bright green, lol
