I just picked one of these up to start my new small group of belladonas. Its the one with peat pellets that expand in warm water.I was wondering how long do you think they can be in these pellets/greenhouse for.i know the lid comes off once all the seeds sprout but i was thinking they couldnt be in those pellets for more than a week or two. anyone use these before?
yes i have i used them. i think i am 5/5 with them. all germed. i would transplant as soon as you get your 1st set of true leaves. maybe the 2nd but there really is NO root room so 2 weeks might be to long. another note. i have heard that leaving them in the peat when you transplant tho easier, may Lower your soils PH over time. i know it seems to be happening to me atm. i will try to find the tread.
yea thats what i was think maybe a week tops.their too small of cubes for 2 weeks but i got the kit bc i think they can get of to a great start in this kit.i just checked the humidity and its at 85% with the dome on.cant wait till they sprout. im not worries about the lower ph bc i ll be transplanting them in good balanced soil for veg..then maybe coco for flower. do these peat pellets have any nutrients?? do week old sprouts need nutrients yet?
nah seedlings dont need nutes. just plain ph'd water. til abt 3rd week. they will tell you when they are hungry. remember 1/4 strength at first. and abt the transplanting thing. i cant remember where i saw it, but it was recommended to remove the plant from the peat when going to their new pots. greens cyrate
yea but removing the plant from the peat is unnessesary trauma to the root system.peat is fine.how are you gonna remove the plant from all the peat?? its impossible
