So i ordered a 60x-120x variable. Problem I'm having is, even at 60x, trying to see the plant is super hard cause if movement. Even the smallest amount and I lose the view. How does everyone else use it? Do I need to cur a small piece off and check it on a stationary table or something? Hate to do that. Any tips would be helpful guys!! Also, I know my girls are not ready to cut, but through the brief glimpses I get of focus , the trichs look cloudy already... could it be the lens, light, ect?
I am pretty sure I posted this jewelers loupe in your last thread …. Its what I use and have zero issues with it. I grab ahold of the plant with my left hand and rest my right hand on my left wrist as a steady rest for using the loupe.
The snip you need is smaller then a rice grain so it won't be missed. Take several from places the light doesn't shine directly on as the light can ripen the surface while the plant is actually a week or two away from being done. Go inside to a chair and table. Now you can see what is going on. 60x should be enough. BNW
You can try shutting off all the fans and if you have a very stedy hand you might be able to do it but normaly you cut a tiny bit and inspect on a table.
I have the exact same one. It helps if you take off that plastic cap, I think it unscrews. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I have that exact handheld microscope. You need to remove a small piece that you want to look at. It’s too hard to look while on the plant. Put it on a table and then place scope down like in that pic. It works great. I even put my phone camera up to the optic and take good pics!! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
@Toxic804 ime you will have no good fortune with that piece. get the one @Headhunterpipes suggested, as would i. btdt with the one you have. it is a royal pita to use. the true loupe style will have you expertly eyeballing trichomes at 60x like a jeweler oggling a gemstone. for real!
