Well hello everyone! I'm Jester and I've been browsing this forum for a very long time now. I've been growing for about 2 years, I wanna say maybe 6-7 grows so far? not sure on the number anymore, but anyway finally decided to do a proper grow journal seeing as how I feel like I can finally say that I have some experience with this lovely little hobby. So without further delay I'll be listing the details of my current grow and some pictures. Seeds: All seeds were ordered off of the attitude, which I recommend as a great store for anyone looking for a reliable source. I also always order feminized seeds because they've been good to me and I've had no issues with hermies or males up to this point ( I know it's a shocker, 2 years of growing and not a single male knock on wood lol) 1. Delicious Seeds - Sugar Black Rose feminized freebe that I received from my last order. 2. Nirvana seeds - Ice feminized 3. G13 Labs - White Widow feminized. 4. Nirvana seeds - AK48 feminized My current grow set up: 5 ft long X 2 ft wide x 6 ft high tent that I made myself with the help of some good ole PVC piping, panda film, and black painters plastic sheets. Soil: I use a local nursery potting soil containing the following: aged and processed softwood bark and saw dust, sphangum peat moss, steer manure, pumice, perlite, bat guano, feather meal, kelp meal, and dolomite lime. I also add to this a handful of earth warm castings. The perlite in this soil is adequate for drainage so I dont add more. Lights: I have 4 43W compact cfls that I run for vegging and 1 250W HPS that is used for flowering. Nutrients: Earth Juice Sweet & Heavy line: Prime, Grow, and Bloom. I also add molasses during the last 5 weeks of flowering. Nute schedule I follow is like this: Vegging: From the time the seeds crack up to 3 weeks I only feed ph balanced water that sits out for 24-48 hours for the chlorine to be gone ( my tap water ph is at 7.5 and quite hard water) I also aerate the nutes mixed in the water for 24 hours prior to watering. Week 4 I start my nutes at 1/8th recommended strength following the chart on the bottle. week 5 I do 1/4th recommended strength week 6 I do 1/2th recommended strength Flowering: week 7-8 I begin the bloom nutes cycle at 1/2 recommended strength week 9-12 full strength nutes as well as 1 tablespoon un-sulphered black-strap molasses per 1 gal of water. the molasses and nutes are all mixed with water and again aerated for 24 hours prior to watering. week 13-14 I discontinue my nutes and only do molasses and water, and obviously theres no aerating. I run 6 weeks of veg (from the time the seedling breaks soil) and 8 weeks of flowering on average. Week 2 I transplant from red party cups to the final 5 gallon bags. beginning in week 3 I start to top the ladies up to 3 times (6 main colas). Week 5-6 before flipping to 12/12 I prune the bottom 3rd of the plants also. This time around I also took 4 clones of each plant 2 weeks into flower. The clones are rooted and in soil and are almost done switching back to veg state, and most likely be transplanted into their final 5 gal bags tomorrow. Last but not least here are some pictures of my current ladies, today they have completed 6 weeks of flowering! from right to left is 1-4 of the seeds I mentioned above (1:SBR, 2:Ice, 3:WW, 4:AK48) and some bud shots to make it worth your time for reading That's it everyone, hope you've enjoyed the pics and log. I plan on updating this journal through harvest with dry weights and more bud porn. Comments, suggestions, tips, whatever have you is welcome!
Just an update of how 4 ladies are doing, tmw is going to be day 50 since lights were turned to 12/12. All 4 of them are showing 90% cloudy triches, 5-10% clear, and yesterday I saw a few ambers on each of the tops I checked on each plant. I generally prefer to chop at this point but I dont have the time until thursday (53 days of flower). They'll get about a quarter of their usual water supply tmw and then I'll be cutting each on thursday and updating with my harvest/dry/cure methods and dry weight/smoke report/and more bud shots. , , Here are the final clones that I decided to keep of 16 original ones. All 16 rooted in 6 days and I transplanted them into party cups, and then after another 2 weeks I picked the strongest looking ones and transplanted those. Currently I have 3 WWs (2 in black bags and 1 in the white containers) 2SBRs (in black bags) and 1 Ice ( in white container). They look all wilted and scraggly because they're clones from flowers but they have just finished reverting back to veg state as you can see the green new growth on them. Also my bad for the shit pics, its a crappy cam and the cfls were bright as hell lol. , ,
