Interesting, she's killed 169 people and made 45,312 others sick so far? I'd like to see where these numbers are coming from. That's not too bad of a count, considering pharmaceuticals kill something like 500 people a day. Almost 1 person every 5 minutes, while she's done 169 over the course of 2 years. Hey, that's not bad at all - the oil you're pumping into your car directly supports the killing of innocent people in the Middle-East, and I'm sure that number is well above 170 people in two years. EDIT: I found this in the FAQ section:
Who wouldn't want to fuck Jim Carrey's wife? But seriously, if you're going to be fucking her you'll have to fuck Jim as well. Jim Carrey: The Judgement on vaccines is in?
so everyone who has gotten sick and died since she started speaking out against vaccines is her fault?
While I don't think Jenny McCarthy has ever advocated people not get vaccines, I do think people indirectly take that advice from her. The whole anti-vaccine movement makes me so angry. It's selfish fear-mongering that puts everyone at risk.
Not vaccinating our children will save their lives and is therefore necessary? Man, you're knee-deep in some stinky bullshit that the pharmaceuticals have been telling everyone. How did humanity survive before vaccines were created? Perhaps instead of injecting synthetic, weakened form of virii, our ancestors ate and lived healthy to avoid disease. They believed the body heals itself from the inside out, not the outside in. There are alternatives to shots that are much more effective, but the pharmaceuticals can't market them because they exist freely in nature. I haven't gotten a vaccine since I was ~10, and I haven't been sick in a good 3 years. The last infection I got was when I was a senior in high school, there was an outbreak of bronchitis because some stupid bitch of a teacher didn't take sick leave, and instead infected half the school. But I was over that in two days (whereas everyone else was gone from class for 1-2 weeks), and since then, I've watched as people have gotten sick around me, and I've managed to not catch any ailment at all. My kids aren't going to be getting their vaccines, and they're going to be fine
This argument makes no sense at all. Vaccines don't prevent you from getting common ailments like bronchitis or a cold. They prevent the spread of deadly, communicable diseases like Polio or Small Pox. 95% of polio cases show no symptoms. "Watching" is not going to protect yourself or your children. What WILL prevent your kids from getting polio is the fact that the rest of us are vaccinated. Not only that, but what about people who are medically unable to get vaccines? Like the elderly or people with weakened immune systems. They rely 100% on the rest of us getting vaccines. It's not just about you and your kids. Unless you plan on keeping them in a bubble, choosing not to vaccinate puts other people at risk. Your healthy looking, un-vaccinated child could carry the polio virus without you ever knowing it, and pass it on to people they come in contact with. And those same people who can't get vaccinated because they have weakened immune systems? Yeah... they will be the ones hit the hardest with those diseases. Unless your children have a valid medical reason not to vaccinated, it's selfish and uninformed not to do so.
I'm against forced vaccination. Jenny McCarthy has a son with Autism who she's helped tremendously with therapy that is not promoted or even recognized by the pharmaceutical or medical industry. That whole death clock is ridiculous sensationalism.
Ignorant child abuse. I strongly suggest looking at sources that argue why vaccines do not cause autism before you do something so dangerously stupid to your children.
While I think vaccines are very important for children and public health in general, I have seen a lot of correlated evidence between certain vaccines and autism, which is definitely scary.
I'm against forced vaccination too. But I still think not to do so is selfish and irresponsible, and puts your own kid and others at risk.
i've had a hard one for her since the mid 90's. arch your back, push them boobies together, wash my car, and keep your opinions to yourself, just how i like it
I think you'll find that child mortality rates and the average length of a humans life have dramtically increased and decreased accordingly since the widespread use of vaccines. Also, you're talking about flu jabs whereas, as Penelope has already pointed out, we're talking about vaccinations against high risk diseases. So, for the sake of humanity, please, don't have children if you think not vaccinating your children is a good idea! thanks
Correlation does not mean causation, but let's anyway see your studies which suggest a relation between vaccines and autism.
I know this, that is why I chose the word. Like I said, I think the whole thing is preposterous, but I have been shown links to research that did indeed influence me during an argument much like this on a different board. Forgive me, I didnt save the links though. Just as someone who hates nuts like that, but at the same time Im someone that has spent extensive time in the autism community as well.
Okay, no worries. Here are some studies if you want to bother reading through them: 1998: http://www.freenetpages.co.uk/hp/gingernut/lancet/Brent Taylor June 1999.pdf 1999: http://www.freenetpages.co.uk/hp/gingernut/lancet/Brent Taylor June 1999.pdf 2001: No Evidence for A New Variant of Measles-Mumps-Rubella-Induced Autism -- Fombonne and Chakrabarti 108 (4): e58 -- Pediatrics 2002(New England Journal of Medicine): http://content.nejm.org/cgi/reprint/347/19/1477.pdf There are over 20 studies published in credible, peer reviewed medical journals that have the same conclusions, zero evidence for a link between autism and vaccines.
