Jedi deathstar

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by Clearsky, Dec 7, 2023.

  1. I decided I'm going to try a grow on the seeds I made, crossed the Jedi glue with death Star.
The seeds are hard to sprout but I got over a 100 of them.
Here's a picture of what the clones looked like before I culled them because I think you get bigger bud's from a plant started by seed with the tap root. So killed them off Screenshot_20231207-070644.png

  5. Well I soaked my seeds for 24 hours because of the hard shell and all 5 of them sprouted, so i will see how they do.
Running a organic run so the only thing I got to do is water them, can't get any easier then that.

  6. I'm going to have to study the airpots

  7. For hard to soak seeds on option is to place them in a mason jar then use a foodsaver /w attachment to pull a partial vacuum on the jar. You can cycle it a few times, pull vacuum for half a day, open return to atmosphere ect... a couple times can help crack difficult seeds. Some times this can even work with old seeds that are almost dried out, almost is the key term though they still have to have enough moisture inside to be viable. Another option is to carefully shave off the tip with a razor, you barely want to break the surface because the goal is just to let moisture in.

  8. Yes I have shaved them with sand paper and scrape the sides with razor knife last time I sprouted some, but this time a 24 hour soak in water did it, put 5 in and all 5 sprouted in my rapid rooters that I use.

For this grow I mixed up 20 + gallons of soil, 2 -5 gallon base which had kelp meal, WC, green sand, and other good things with 1- 5 gallon compost and 1- 5 gallon perlite.
Which makes a 5 gallon pot weight 20+ pounds with out any water in it so the pot are very heavy.
Watered the little seedling in each pot with only a half cup of water around seedling and the water does drain threw pot so roots should breathe ok in it, will see how it goes.
Will add perlite to the top of the soil to keep the nats away from soil.
Shouldn't have to add anything else to it from start to finish except watering plants.

  11. Hell yeah man you always got some new good ideas definitely new to me

  12. Definitely don't like the organic mixture with compost it's just to heavy, plus have no idea what the NPK value is doing, so taking them out and repotting them in my promix and perlite and will feed them with my master blend 3 parts.
Looks like they will be ok. 17032867698983908840118886305656.jpg 17032869073458680494530813046406.jpg

  14. Yes that was for my organic grow, but I decided I didn't like it so removed the seedling's from the pots and redid them in promix with perlite.

  15. With this cross there is the death star and the seedling that favor her grow ok which is the two I have in picture.
The other three favor the Jedi glue which just don't want to grow, they start out looking like a normal few day seedling then the curl under leaf starts like over watering or not enough water or to much nitrogen.
They did the same thing last time I planted them, but I got them setting in another area and will give them three weeks to see if they will start to grow.
If they do grow it will be something I would need to take clones from because the seeds of that strain in my breeding just don't grow.
Last time I culled them after a couple of weeks but will let these ones go longer before I do that.
I know you can not buy feminized Jedi glue seeds only reg ones, there must be a reason for it.
I will probably replace those three with 3 auto's in a 20 gallon air pot just to have some good buds in three months.
If someone on here is a experience grower with at least 10 years of indoor growing, and live in the United States I will ship you 10 seeds to see if you can figure it out.
I do know the seeds need to be soaked in water for 24 hours to get them to sprout because of the very hard shell.
Just send me a private message and I will decide if you are a serious grower and will show the pictures of the grow.
You will be getting my cross that will give you the other one that will grow for sure and produces nice big stickies buds.

  16. Well the little plants are 13 days old today, had to remove them from the organic mixture and put them in my promix mixture, they are going to be stocky plants like the indica strain.
Well see how it goes because it's something I made and could go south the older they get, hope not. 17036311896915706256502749422666.jpg 17036312183912599915337694094718.jpg

Then train them to fill tent hopefully will see, I put 4 auto seeds in water yesterday to get something else going Incase these photos don't perform the way I want. 1703859231528745107215229264374.jpg 17038592589757772263031261427487.jpg
