He did Dead Presidents on The Come Up, Dead Presidents 2 was done on The Warm Up in part because he said someone called him out for not going hard enough on the first one since it was a classic. No need to do a 3rd when the second one is perfect

IMO there are two types of people when it comes to entertainment. Those subject to commercialism, who go with the flow, and those who are more interested in the message it delivers. assuming you fell under the first category, that was my example. he doesn't have any standout qualities what about lyricism? flow?
He has lyrics and flow, but I don't really see that "it" factor that so many greats have/had. The shit he talks about is bland to me. I feel like I have heard the same subject matter with that similar style from so many other rappers. He isn't bad, but he isn't great. Personally I don't feel him at all. As for what subject you are trying to categorize me in by reading one post, I don't fit in any. I will give all kinds of music a chance if it sounds good to me. I'll listen to Nas and Biggie one day, Eyedea and Atmosphere the next, and Currensy and Wiz another day. I am sick of people assuming that if I dislike J Cole or listen to a few tracks off flockaveli that I am placed in some sort of category. I like what I like. It can be lyrically lyrical, chill stoner rap, or some southern trap rap. It is what I am in the mood for. And that is just for hip hop. So bottom line, everyone is not the same. Not everything is black and white. There is plenty of gray.

You say that, but then you say you listen to Wiz and Currency, because what they rap about is totally original, right? J. Cole is actually talking about his life from a realistic stand point, and he's writing about things that most other rappers don't, and he comes from a background that's different from most rappers.
Curren$y actually raps though man, like rhymes and uses word play, double entendres and metaphors, A lot of rappers come from his background, it's just some of them end up getting famous really quick and then let the attention and money ruin them. But cole is obviously intelligent and has more meaning and power with his music than any gucci or wayne. Anybody have any recently released cole?
