blizzard is not a monopoly at all. Just because a company makes a lot of cash doesn't make them a monopoly, it means they are good at providing games customers are willing to pay for. Very big difference

If you got free time, play it up.... but after the amount of money blizzard has made and the amount of time that games existed, they should just make it fucking free like "oh hey, you guys have been playing for fucking years, have some free fun"

No matter though.... Diablo 3, SWTOR, GW2, Skyrim, BF3, AC: Revelations and Dead Island are likely to consume my fucking life until im 30, in 8 years

 

i'll excuse you're pure ignorance, but if you had any idea what went into programing a master piece such as world of warcraft, you too would want multiple billions of dollars, they deserve every penny they get from that game, it was a programing nightmare, NOT to mention networking multi-millions of people to GAME servers at one time... fucking head spinning

Even with all of that aside, they could have profited if it was 2 bucks a month still, and at this point, they are well past breaking even lol... they COULD provide it for free, and still have mad piles of cash from its profit for years to come lol
People act like WoW is the only title blizzard makes money off, when im 100% positive people still buy diablo 2 for 20 fucking bucks

 

I could understand your feelings when you say you relapsed.
Gambling addiction is similar or even identical to online gaming. I would propose that you quit that shit early while you still can.

And ive been playing diablo 2 for much longer than WoW has been around and yet, its still only cost me 45 bucks..... (got my first copy as a gift, had to buy CD keys many years later when battle.net went super nazi for a second lol)

Im not saying WoW isnt worth its weight.... im just saying after 8 years, they havent even cut any slack on the price... im not saying it should be free necessarily, im saying they could make it free and still roll around in piles of cash for years from it.... But, they COULD reduce it to like... 5 bucks... you know... just like a "hey you are now playing an ALMOST decade old game for full price, have a break" lol

 

i dont spend a lot of money on something im doing to prevent myself from having severe migraines lol.... (not saying i dont use it for recreation, but thats hardly the only reason i get high)
