And my lease runs up for my current car, 2010 Ford Fusion, around May. I really want a dope ass car with decent mileage but I dont know what I can get really. I wanna start looking now so I have an idea on what I want. I may have more then 11,000 depending on how much I don't spend lol.. I was thinking a white infiniti g35 with black rims eventually and nice ass tints but I think that'll end up being way too expensive.. Someone help me out i know jack shit about cars haha

Edit: I kind of want something fast but really my main concern is looks.. I figure that most nice looking cars are decently fast anyway so that's fine for me. Really don't mind if it's luxury or sporty, because I like both styles honestly. Fresh ass infiniti's are some nice luxury cars but I also love 350z's and the new Stang's so... I know I'm not really giving too much info but I have a broad range of interests when it comes to cars lol.

  2. More details on what you want :) Sporty car? 2 seater? 2 door? 4 door? 4 seater? Reliably or luxury? Both?

  3. Wow.. No suggestions??

  4. fuck automobiles planes and trains till the day i die

  5. Can't go wrong with a 350Z. The newer mustangs are eh. Updated body, same old slow motor ( unless you're talkin brand spankin new mustang ).

    I would honestly suggest a C5 corvette.

  6. Like a bmw 750 I or a m5

  7. You can get a good 350 small block car that'll get about 25 mpg with 11 grand easy. 350z, LS1 4th gens, A good corvette. That'd be payin in full with cash. If you're lookin to finance something, you could buy any new pony car easy. They'll all be fun cars

  8. Infiniti G35

  9. How about a 2000-2003 CL500? They go for about 11-12K with under 100K on the motor.

Yeah that's what ya want to do.... Are you looking to use that to BUY the car or down payment?

  11. To buy it

  12. Then yeah man don't buy a 10 yr old car. Especially a 10 yr old "luxury/sport". Think of the hell that car has seen in its time. Buying a BMW or Mercedes sounds appealing but be cautious when buying a car nearing 100k miles. That's when most of those cars start falling apart.

  13. You're insane if you think cars start falling apart at 100k miles. That ain't shit to a motor any more. Yeah, you'll have repairs, but they sure as hell aren't going to fall apart at 100k. If you buy a used car through a credit union they'll warranty it to 16 years/ 160k miles. A bank isn't going to do that, if they're going to lose money.
(Dom I would recommend doing that. Get a loan through a credit union for like 1k less than your cap and have them warranty it, then pay the loan back the next day with the cash you have saved amd you have a few years of warranty for the small shit like window motors and that stuff.)
My stepdad's 07 F250 has over 180k on it, with no maintaince. His boss gave it to him for a work truck, my stepdad said he wasn't going to pay maintaince/ repairs. Never saw a dime for maintaince money, so not a single oil change was done on it.
My 02 Silverado has 230k without any major repairs. Worst I've done is cracked the radiator from offroading. Any modern car, hell even a carbed car, should be able to put 160k minimal up. Shit, my brother's 80's Sierra has a 454 in it and the odometer has been stuck at 499,999 for the past 6 or 7 years. All he's done was a engine rebuild at 350k.
I don't know what shit boxes you've have for cars, but that is ridicolous.

  14. Yeah i would either go with a 2005 Infiniti G35 or a Cadillac DTS. If you want a big car with over 300 HP the cadillac DTS is a good choice. I have owned mine for about 3 and a half years with no problems with it. It is a long ass car though. Very smooth ride. The northstar engines in them are bulletproof. Remember if you buy a BMW or Audi the service charges are going to be more since its a imported car. Also if something does go wrong with it its going to cost you a arm in the leg. Lots of people are going to say to work on it yourself to save money but you said you don't know much about cars. Even though Cadillac is a luxury/sort car brand it's still an American car which wont be near as much money to maintain and fix. People say to get a corvette but you live in jersey right? Doesn't it snow their? If you dont care about the money on fixing a car or maintenance then i would go grab a audi A4 or a BMW m3.

  15. Yeah it does snow here a decent amount but nothing too crazy. I realized I had more cash then I thought and I'll have probably 14000-16000 so even better. Definitely looking heavy into an Infiniti G35 but good idea to check out the Caddy never thought of that. Thanks guys

  16. Audi s4 or m3

    or Acura tsx or TL

  17. With that kind of money buy a very nice condition used Mercedes. Either an S-Class, CLS-Class, or E-Class. Very good value and much more luxurious than a Caddy, and faster than an Infiniti.

Northstar's are generally good. Only problem is one of the oil gaskets is completley at the bottom of the motor. That little gasket causes a shit load of problems. If it ever cracks, it'll start leaking quite a decent amount of oil, only when it's running and when the oil's running through the motor, so most people don't even realize it's leaking and only way to replace it, is to literally take the engine out of the bay and do a rebuild. I remember back in my sophomore year my auto shop teacher got a early 2000's DTS and that gasket was blown. Literally pulled the motor out and did a bottom end rebuild to get it to stop.
Edit: Infiniti's decent. I found one not too long ago pushing a little over 435 hp on craigslist and the guy only wanted 15k. I don't know if you just want something that will get a little street respect or if you want a shit load of power though.
Honestly, the newer Hyundai Genesis Coupes are fun as hell to drive. 10 year/ 100k warranty, too. Hard to beat that. The 3.8 R spec is a respectable motor in that little thing, 310 hp out of a v6 that gets 25+ mpg. I met a guy that let me drive his upgraded turbo 4 cylinder and that thing was still fun as hell. I was throwing it around corners like it was a no one's business, haha. A little hard to find, but I fucking fell in love with it when I drove it. Only thing I didn't like was the manual tranny, the auto was loads better (something I never thought I'd say).

  19. Rear or all wheel drive? For that money, buy any Audi, BMW, or VW. Check out the VW Phaeton... Sexy. Fast. Top gear said it was perfect... and it comes with a 12 cylinder engine option.
