Lately when I'm playing music from iTunes it's skipping during playback. I'd estimate it's happening up to twice a minute, sometimes less. Nonetheless it's annoying as hell and as an audiophile I'm pretty pissed off that it has worked fine up until now and I can't figure out why anything has changed. I've doublechecked that it's not just my surround sound speakers, as it skips coming directly from the laptop also. Google suggests a lack of RAM and setting iTunes as the highest priority within running processes as a fix, but that doesn't work and I have a hard time believing RAM is the problem anyway since my machine is a beast. Also, I tried going so far as to system restore to a couple weeks ago when I know everything was fine but no restore point has worked so far for whatever reason. I ran my antivirus last night so that rules out any malware. Anyone else run into this?
