Just came across this story from a friend. It's a children's book that attempts to cover the topic of marijuana from a child's aspect. The author wanted to promote the awareness of the plant, and teaching that it should only be used by adults, etc. Some people show enlightment,... most show outrage. It's Just A Plant Website. It shows half the story, information on why it was written, and article and video interviews with major networks such as... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kssS_TEeQfU"]Fox[/ame] and[ame="http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2008/05/09/song.kid.mariuana.book.katu"]CNN[/ame] I personally think it's a great way to approach the topic. Do you guys feel the same way I do, or think of it as a terrible approach?
Honestly I disagree with it. I think the book took a bad approach. I think it's the job of the parents to sit and have a discussion with kids about drugs, sex, and other things of that sort.
Agreed. I like how he compared it to sexual intercourse. I think it should be discussed by parents at an age when children become aware of it.
Nightshade and Hemlock are JUST plants. You need a better arguement than that...just saying. And lets not forget Poison Ivy.
Its a perfect approach. What if the parents are pro-prohibition, and try to brainwash the kid that marijuana is bad. Last thing we need is more DEA. Discussing on fox news was a bad idea though.

Of course you would need a better argument then that but it's a child's book. It isn't meant to set their views on marijuana 100%, only open their eyes and mind to the subject. I guess you could say this book just starts the baseline.
Who the hell do you think will buy the book? Someones 5 year old kid? No... AN ADULT!! Who will more than likely sit down with them and read it ALONG WITH THEM!
Fuuuuuuck. I just went to amazon and looked up IT'S JUST A PLANT and the price for this book is $49 dollars. Fuck that!!
