has anyone else noticed this? whenever an anti-weed commercial comes on, the people in it are smoking joints. never bongs, vaporizers, blunts, or even bowls. why do you think this is? your thoughts?
Its just a common method that everyone is familiar with. I'm pretty sure that if there was like a vape in a commercial 50% of the people would be like wtf is this.
I think that shows how stupid aint-pot adds are. Theyre stuck in the past, using out-dated information. I think its time to move up to the bong!
My friend said he thinks it's because joints are the "ugliest" way to smoke. I've seen some sick pieces that would definitely make me want to smoke if I saw that. imagine seeing a gandalf pipe in an anti-weed commercial
Definitely a good point back before I started smoking if I saw some kid ripping a worked Toro or something on an anti drug ad i'd go straight to the computer and google where to buy that shit haha What I dont get though is why even in stoner movies they rarely ever show glass...doesnt really represent the general toking population I think since most people are into high quality glass and sick setups now a days... seriously I can count the movies where bongs are ripped on one hand
People relate smoking joints to smoking cigarettes which is worse than smoking weed. Smoking a bong or a nice glass pipe appears far more pleasant then smoking a joint(although I love myself a good joint). and they are attempting to to make everyone hate pot.
Anti-weed commercials are garbage. I remember way back like years ago there was an ad where a bunch of black guys are ordering fast food and one of them says "I want fifteen cheezburgers!" and then they hit a girl on her bike. Really stupid stuff. I always thought it would be funny if an actual true smoking session was in the ad. Just a bunch of friends hitting bongs and bowls just laughing and having a good time. Way better than people deflating on couches.

maybe the antipot commercial makers want the viewers to look at smoking a marijuana cigarette as being similarly dangerous as smoking a tobacco cigarette
