Usually no matter how calm I am if I gently raise my hands and hold my fingers out they quiver constantly.. The intensity can vary but I can't remember the last time I could hold my hands absolutely steady. I've been playing basketball since I was like 6 and my hands have definitely taken some damage, jams and sprains and stuff like that, so maybe that's why? I think at 19 I definitely have the beginnings of arthritis or joint deterioration, but otherwise I am very healthy and have a great sense of inner balance. Is anyone else like this? Or are steady hands more common? Just wondering
Same here man, I think everyone's hands shake a small bit since our muscles are constantly undergoing tiny movements.
you could have that one disease that the guy in saving private ryan had, or you could just have a shaky hand, depending on how intense it is
It could be essential tremor, but see a neurologist ASAP- it is starting too dang young in you and could actually be something more serious- Parkinson's, nerve damage, etc! Essential tremor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Granny
Could be a side effect from any number of prescription medication. Lithium had me shaking like a tree for months.
Yeah man, You should see me try and take a picture or put a CD in.... And Granny, That scares me, and you take care! What could it mean for us who tremor and twitch in our 20's?
I hope not. My mom has mitochondrial disorder and they told us when I was younger they didn't think it was the type that would manifest in children, but I mean my mitochondrial DNA is her mitochondrial DNA, so I've always been skeptical. I tend to be hyperaware of my physical health but not in the hypochondriac sense. A neurological disorder would suck so bad..
Usually just small vibration-like.. occasionally though I'll think to myself "Woah.. this seems a tad bit excessive" but then I just kinda forget about it. I can still shoot a ball accurately, I'm a fairly good shot with a rifle, I write legibly. I've had finger trouble before though. In high school I actually developed trigger finger in my middle, ring, and pinky fingers of my left hand.. for those unaware basically if I clenched my hands into a fist, those fingers locked up and then I had to kinda flex hard and pop them open again. It wasn't really painful but it scared me cuz I basically just woke up one morning and it was like that. I ended up getting a cortisone injection below the knuckle at the base of my middle finger since there's a sliding ligament in there that I guess was getting caught. That was super painful but it did the trick.. My fingers and knuckles get a little stiff sometimes these days but I wouldn't really say painful unless I just jammed one.
I have always been a tiny bit shaky on occasion but since i took lithium and my anxiety has worsened i shake quite a bit. i stopped taking it because it was bad enough i couldn't hold a damn cup of coffee without spilling. Since i stopped taking it i am much much more functional and i don't have to explain to everyone why i'm shaking like i have Parkinsons
My hands shake when I hold them out and such... Or a certain position could really get it goin but that shit runs in my family. My grandfathers hands shake like an earthquake.
It's normal, we're not robots so we're going to move since your brain is constantly sending signals and blood is being pumped around your body. It's only when you're shaking excessively is when you need to worry, and you'll know when that happens.
some movement in one's hands is common. if they're shaking / trembling constantly then it's probably an issue. if that were the case i dont think you'd be looking for advice here. also, do you take any drugs? adderall, cocaine, etc?
My hands always shake when I'm trying to take a picture of someone, they just don't stay steady. Or if I'm trying to do something delicate, not otherwise.
Could be many things from disease to anxiety to just being normal my pinky shakes it beyonce when i lay my hand out LOL
I have essential tremors. If you had something like this, you would know something is wrong. I shake to varying degrees every day in random areas of my body. Yea it blows as hard as it sounds.
