It occurred to me...

  1. That in my readings over the last few years, the only really upbeat and fun book I read was the Hitchhikers Guide series and the first half of Fear and Loathing. Now, my roomie keeps telling me to write something fun and upbeat but you can't write something you don't really know. Or maybe I just don't have a sense of humour..

  2. I'm sorta' the same way when it comes to books. The last few books I've read have been all Stephen King books. I don't even think I've ever read an "upbeat" book. D: Are you a writer? If you are, trying to change it up would be pretty difficult if you're used to writing things different.

  3. exactly. That's why I wanted to change it up a bit. I've been reading a lot of King lately too, on top of the crap (not actual crap, just crap I'm not interested in at the moment) I have for classes.

So, someone toss a good, upbeat, feel good book or nine out there.

  4. Upbeat books are usually terrible, man. You're probably a better writer for not reading them.
