It’s awful to work at McDonald’s.

  1. It was my first and worst job. It taught me that a lot of middle age men suck. Literally the first customer I had ordered McNuggets at the drive thru then threw them out in anger as he drove away. I still don’t know what was wrong with his order to this day.

It’s depressing to work at this chain. There are soooooo many out there and it’s all suppose to stay uniformly the same. You say the same things. They literally gave me lines to practice and I would get reprimanded by the boss if I neglected to say “come back soon”.

You’re feeding people fast food. People are polite and friendly for the most part but nobody really wants to stick around to chat with a “crew member”. Not only are you contributing to the obesity epidemic, you’re really not respected. It’s the bottom of the barrel as far as restaurants go. Angry short tempered dudes will make you lose faith in humanity and teach you the meaning of ‘petty’.

I only wish I knew of the benefits of marijuanas back then. This was like 5 years ago yet I still felt the need to vent.

Anybody else have McDonald’s experience? Did you smerk weed before work?

  4. I worked there for 1 day when I was in high school. I shit you not, I was on the grill and I dropped a frozen patty on the floor, and this motherfucker picked it up and threw it in the grill and said welcome to McDonald's. That was 20 years ago. I finished out that day and never went back. I didn't eat there for over ten years after that. I love their fries and their double cheeseburgers are good if they're freshly made.

    But yea, fuck McDonald's.

  5. I don't think I could handle all the auditory pollution from all the beep, beep, beeping. I can barely stand it as a very, very occasional customer.

  8. It's awful to work anywhere, it's twenty and 10 plus 8.
Unless like you're a porno actor or something, but even then maybe that gets old, too.

  9. It's more like it was just a nasty environment and I couldn't do it. Burgers off the floor are a no go.

  15. My first tax paying job was McDonald's and I fucking hated it. The owner / general manager we called him captain cocksucker and his son corporal cocksucker who got his manager from his daddy. Both were stupid fat fucks. Like big fat, greasy fat sweat sheen, neckbeard fat fucks.

I caught corporal cocksucker taking out old food and eating it at the garbage can out back. It was so fuckin gnarly. That nasty bastard was my arch nemesis an 16 year old me took it waaaaay to far a few times.

I kept tossing pickles on the freezer door every time someone opened it. Crpl cocksucker was freaking out trying to find out for months who was doing it. One time I had a dinner plate sized pickle pile frozen solid, like fuckin concrete solid. It's a cold ass freezer not like your home freezer, a walk in subartic mother fucker. Man his fat fuck jowls were all red, flecks of foamy mouth gunk in the corners of his mouth were all lathery, the fat fuck veins in his neck and five head were gonna blow, I thought I had finaly broken him. I also kept stealing all the tools like screw drivers, hammers and that sort of shit, leaving only a flimsy flex able putty knife to chisle the concrete pickles off the door. I thought his head was going to explode with the shade of purple it turned at realizing someone was absolutely fucking with him. Good times...

Fuck McDonald's, I'll never eat their food after working at that shithole and seeing what's up behind the scenes.

  16. Hmmm I guess I got lucky for once never had a job with a bad boss

  17. I don't do the clown, but I did work at Arby's back in the mid 70's. It was my first job when I got out of the army.
The owner was a really cool guy and it was a fantastic place to work as far as fast food joints go. Both the day and the night managers were exactly the right people for their job. The only downside was the minimum wage pay. I worked the closing shift and eventually became assistant manager. I don't remember what that paid, but it was barely above minimum.
Every night when we finished up we'd sit in the back room for a couple hours hitting bongs and drinking beer. The owner never knew about that, but that's what happens when you give a 20 year old army veteran the keys to the salt mine.
The biggest problem I can remember were most female employees. They would call in 5 minutes before their shift starts and say they have cramps, or some shit. Then you have to get on the phone and find somebody who wants to work on their day off.
To this day there is still no drive through. I passed though a couple years ago and stopped in for lunch. The manager I worked under was still there. I recognized him immediately while he was cleaning some tables. I'm in my 60's now and he had a good 10 years on me when I worked there. They've expanded the dinning area where the outdoor tables used to be, and the menu is like 10 times what it used to be. Still the same owner.
I had to explain who I was and he eventually remembered me because when he and his girlfriend broke up, at a party she brought me a beer, sat on my lap and kept trying to make out while he was sitting across the room all heart broken. He knew it was her, not me, but there was still an awkwardness between us from then on. A couple of my brothers were at the party and they never let me live it down that this hot chick was all over me and I didn't go for it.
    Good memories.

I left there to hitch hike across the country. I spent 2 years on the road searching for whatever it was that was missing in my soul.
