  1. I don't know how many times I've seen moderators move threads to the apprentice section, simply because they "ask a question." It doesn't bother me, I almost always completely agree with their decision to have the thread moved. But a quick click on the "Seasoned Tokers" section will reveal that MOST of the threads that are the most popular are ALL questions, but have yet to be moved. Why is this?

The reason I'm bringing it up is because I've often times seen mods move a thread and give little more reason for doing so, besides "questions go in apprentice?"

    What's with this double-standard?

  2. I would appreciate it if you offered me a chance to reply after you've responded.
Rather than answering it and closing it. Thank you in advance.

  3. Well, I guess I'd say that most of the questions that stay in Seasoned Tokers are questions based on individual experiences of seasoned tokers rather than questions with a specific correct answer like many of the ones that get moved to Apprentice. :confused_2:

Regardless though, we're all well aware that there are changes that need to be made in that area of the forums and RMJL has said that those changes will be happening soon. :p

  4. OK. Well thank you for a reasonable and honest answer, and for allowing me to reply by not closing this... as most mods would have.

I just thought it was funny that mods often times have blatant double-standards, that they don't have to bother explaining the reasoning behind.

  5. "How do I hide it from my parents?" -> Apprentice
"What is the best rolling paper?" -> Apprentice
"What insights have you found in your relationship with Cannabis? (with something also shared)" -> Seasoned
"In all your years what's the best bud you ever smoked? Mine was...blah blah." -> Seasoned.

    Pretty simple.

It would be different if someone explained it that way. But I have seen a moderator literally say this (including Caps) "ALL threads asking a question belong in the apprentice section."

But thank you for trying to answer my questions and concerns.

  7. You're welcome. I'm not a mod and do not speak to them though. That was just my own interpretation.

  8. I understand that. I'm hoping for a response from a moderator though.

  9. i feel like apprentice tokers isnt visited(very often) by the people who some need to answer their questions, and sometimes people dont get the right input out of it. just like the "lighting section" in the cultivation area. i feel like the only people visiting those types of subforums are the ones looking for the answers. i mean people cant rep anymore so why would anyone go out of their way to go into another forum where they could help someone and potentially farm some rep.

i understand the need for organization for the search button though and this is the main reason why threads are moved imho. its not to make people mad or anything.

  10. Some of us browse Apprentice all the time for the express purpose of helping less experienced cannabis users.

  11. sitting here doing a wake&bake thinking about this( i'm Bored)lol
did you guys ever think that it might be a name problem? No body likes to sit at the kids table. maybe if the names were a little clearer you wouldn't have so many problems.

Apprentice Tokers = Questions & Answers Zone

Seasoned Tokers = old Farts blowin smoke :p

    Just a thought :smoke:

  12. Apprentice Tokers should be changed to Cannabis Q&A in my opinion but I've said that before.

  13. :hello: That's what I'm talking about. That name clearly states what that section is for. no confusion ;)

  14. As jd stated, there are going to be changes in that area to make it better for everyone.

...and yes, I'm closing this because jd (Super Mod) and OSG (Old School member) both gave answers to the question and now, I have, as well. :)
