Got some trimmings I wanna make iso hash with. What's your thoughts on using trimmings for iso hash? Should they be dry or can I do it while they're fresh? And also should I cut then up or put them in the jar whole? Thanks for the input yall
They should be dry, and then you should also toss it in the freezer for at least 30 mins before making the qwiso. The more you grind it up, the quicker the process will take place, which also means the quicker the iso will begin to extract non cannabinoid compounds and decrease the potency of the oil.... Unless you have a method to filter the iso quickly off of everything (strainer/coffee filter using gravity doesnt pull it off quick enough) then you dont REALLY need to grind it finely, just break it up a bit (the trim should be dry enough to crumble with your hands to make qwiso). If you do grind it, soak/shake it for a little less time....
