Bush Administration wont do shit to lower gas prices b/c oil companies are paying him b/c he allows them to pollute more and save $$ by illegal dumping
Worrying about gas prices seems so irrelevant to me. What would you do with all the extra money if they lowered prices, buy that mocha cappuccino from Starbucks that you've always wanted?

You guys don't get it, the idea in any given society is to live in a comfort zone that allows you to spend money on luxury items such as weed and coffee. This shouldn't even be an issue because we should've found a more efficient fuel source 20 years ago. By the way, there's already a more indepth post about this that's right below this one.
we have it,its called hydrogen vehichles,the problem? generally these are over $100,000 and theres virtually no pumping stations you could always run on veggie oil.....but then your car smells like french fries
No, I'd buy my fucking groceries with it. We are so poor right now that we might have to steal gas this week so my fiance can get to work so we can make money to buy food for our family. Some of us are suffering real hardships because of the gas prices. Not all of us live in our parent's basement, kiddo.
Question, to the people with bills (as if we don't all have them). How many gallons a week do you pump?
Maybe 15-20 gallons a week. We've cut back to where my boyfriend only drives to work and home and to the grocery store or post office. If I could cut back anywhere else I would, but his work and all of the stores are at least 10 miles away. edit- and I don't live on a bus route.
My tank is about 18 gallons, and I fill it up slightly more often than once a week (probably every 5 or 6 days). That's almost 1/4 of my budget right there. It's ridiculous. Almost another 1/4 of my paycheck pays for car insurance. Look at that. Nearly half of my paycheck pays for my car just so that I can get to work and back home. That doesn't even include oil, repairs, and other maintainence.
i use 15-20 gallons a week. but the bastard takes premium which i didnt know when i got it (stupid on my part) and guess what, another 20 cent increase between last night and this morning. now up to 3.39
Well said....+ rep.....bigtime... Im an average guy...I drive a fifteen year old truck.....Ive had all types of new vehicles and paid 500 a month car payments too....I sold em all to cut expenses.. Even doing that I find after I fill my tank....34 gal....and pay the 80-90 bucks...that the impact on daily life has doubled....Just like Hempress an most people I cut my driving down to necessity trips only...still I go hungry towards the end of the month...like ....today....no gas, no food, no cash...maybe by monday Ill buy some gorceries... The point Hempress made needs to be taken and remembered....If your living at home with Dad an Mom...You have NO clue of what living in the real world is all about...this isa hard statement ....granted....but if youdont "get it " then you will soon enough...I dont care how much crap your folks give you for smoking dope or being a smartass kid....You will NEVER have it better then you do right now....I dont care how much you make...I even when I made 6 figures a year I found that I was still bearly hangin on....keep in mind....the more you make the more you spend....Hempress got it right....she is wise beyond her years...I suggest you pay attention....The world dont owe anyone anything...and it will kick your ass in a heartbeat.
i usually put ~$20 a week in my car.. but of local shit i just take my old moped, at 80mpg, i aint complaining
I completely here you man, and it's the same way for me. My parents are kind enough to cover my college tuition, and by choice I told them to let me cover my living expenses, and I've kept my word on that to this day. I know what it's like when rent and bills are fixing to come up at the start of the month and you've got to start really scraping your cash. It does suck, and I can only afford to work about 23 hours a week if I want to have any hope of getting school work done.
Yup....went to college for 3 degees....Did the same as you...tho two of the trips were on my tab....none the less...be proud of yourself...its not fun out there.... + rep for having balls to do it...
