I know this has been asked like 1000000000s times before but no one gives a straight answer I am going to make a bong soon and don't have access to a head shop, so the bowl would be awesomely shaped tin foil. Is this safe or is it not safe?

Take a piece of foil and put a lighter to the corner. I'm sure the nasty, thick, black smoke will answer your question.

Aluminum's melting point is about 2500 degrees no standerd lighter will get that hot and once again the hookah community uses foil all the time for hookahs and has been scince foil was invented

But granny already showed clear evidence that it does harm. We aren't talking about its melting point at all. And hookahs use the heat from the coal, not a direct flame on the foil.
I saw nothing about tin foil being bad it said the rats ate the aluminum beacuse it's in our food and water it said nothing about smoking using foil aluminum like most metal is pretty unreactive and unless you eat part of the pipe or melt the fuck out of it you won't even get any aluminum in your body
nooooo it is horrible!! when you pt an open flame on thin tin foil it releases an oxide tha is very carcinogenic to humans! ya u could eat it and shit it out but you wouldnt have the same release of chemical as you would by heating it with fire!! rats can eat anything, but what can they smoke??.....

Cans are very bad for you never smoke out of a soda can beacuse they line it with a plastic coating that and the paint release toxic fumes but apples are fine actually I now want to smoke out of one

The melting point of aluminum is irrelevant. No one's worried about the effects of LIQUID aluminum, or for that matter gaseus aluminum. The harm comes from the chemicals in the smoke that's released when heating it (particularly aluminum oxide, I believe, but I could be wrong about that). These chemicals are very carcinogenic and have been linked to early onset Alzheimer's.
A simple grade-school level experiment. Take 2 small pieces of foil. Hold one in some pliers over a lighter for a while. Compare the two pieces. How has the heat changed the foil? Does it seem thicker or thinner? Where do you think the missing aluminum atoms went? And smoking paint certainly isn't good for you! Heaven only knows what's in the paint and burning creates new compounds. And that burning that plastic coating is likely to create tiny amounts of acidic compounds that can harm your lungs. Using a soda can once won't do that much real damage, but I wouldn't do it!
